End Of A Long Day

"Great! Let's go home and finally sleep in bed!" Lucia said while excitedly stand up to which Veldanava then teleported them back afterwards

However

When they're back Infront of their house, they're greeted by an unexpected sight

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE!!!" Lucia shouted

Present

It's currently midnight but you could see the house clearly despite the dark night

Why?

Because there are a trail of fire going across the Nava household coming from the north down to the south lighting up the area that the fire passed by

Not only that, a few pillars of ice that are scattered randomly across the trail also reflected the light giving the are near it an ominous glow

"Looks like Velzard and Velgrynd is in a disagreement"

Veldanava's tone is calm as usual but one look at his face and you could tell that he's annoyed

Lucia sighed in response before asking "Are we going to check on them?"

"You don't have to if you don't want to" he softly said "I will go there by myself"

"Thanks dear"

They then walked ignoring the things around them and entered the house that's seemingly unaffected by the ice and fire

After Veldanava put Milim on her bed he turns around and said "I'll be going now"

To which Lucia replied with a small kiss before saying "Take care"

"I will" he then goes on to walk out of the room

Lucia's POV

Welp there he goes

Now that he's gone let's just put Rimuru to bed and goes to bed myself

"Mom. Aunties are okay right?" Rimuru asked worried still in my arms

"Of course they are! Your aunties are strong after all" I tried to ease him while placing him on the bed

Emphasis on "tried" because it seems like he's still worried

I can see why he's worried but I'm sure they're okay, the one I'm worried about is actually dear...

Anyway I'm really tired now that I feel like I could collapse any moment now... I better go back to my bed now

"mom, I want to go with dad"

... huh? Am I hearing that correctly?

"Can I?"

Ah I did heard it correctly... Of course the answer is "No"

"big please!?" he tried using his baby doll eyes

Unfortunately for you, I'm immune to that from Milim's many baby doll eyes over the years

"No is still no" he looks annoyed "be a good boy and go to sleep please"

"mmm" he pouted and turned away from me

Knowing he won't talk to me anymore I just turn around and left the room

I left the room but I'm actually just standing behind the door checking on him through [Magic Sense]

Please just go to sleep so that I could go to sleep aswell...
