Chelsea ended up heading home after she and the sheriff had managed to get Caroline to bed. The poor girl was exhausted from crying so much and fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow. Liz had offered to drive Chelsea home considering how late it was, but Chelsea declined and drove herself home.

When she got home, she found the place empty. She knew that her dad was away on a business trip, so she knew why he wasn't home but the fact that Bonnie wasn't home worried her. She sent her sister a message asking where she was and received a reply stating that she was staying with Elena. A feeling in her gut told her that her sister was lying but she couldn't for the life of her think why.

Now, it's the next morning and Cheslea is sat at the dining room table waiting for Bonnie to come home. She's already had breakfast and is doing the homework that she forgot about when she hears a knock at the door. Chelsea gets up and heads to the front door, she opens it only to find no one there. Instead, she notices something, causing her to look down and find two boxes with 2 envelopes resting on them.

Chelsea picks everything up and brings it in to the house and places them all onto the table. She starts by looking at the envelopes and finds both addressed to her. On account of her being terrible at opening envelopes she places them back down and goes looking for the letter opener. She finds it quickly, in her dad's office, and comes back to the letters.

Once they are both open, she pulls them both out of their envelopes and immediately scrunches her eyebrows as she notices that the two cards say the exact same thing.

'Please join the Mikaelson family, this evening at seven o'clock. For dancing, cocktail and celebration'

Chelsea stands there for a second, feeling confused before a thought comes to her. Maybe one of these was meant for Bonnie and they just messed up with the names. After thinking this Chelsea shrugs before going to put the letters back down, only for one of them to slide off the table and onto the floor.

She sighs before leaning down to pick the letter back up. When she does, she notices writing on the back of the card.

'Save me a dance, Fondly Klaus.'

Her lips twitch upwards at the corner as she reaches for the other letter and turns it over to see the back.

'I'm greatly looking forward to seeing you again, Elijah.'

That causes her lips to form a smile. These idiots couldn't even work together to send her one invitation. Then her smile fades. They couldn't even work together for this simple of a thing, how on earth are they supposed to work together when it comes to her.

Chelsea shakes her head, now is not the time to be thinking about this, she doesn't want to think about this. Instead, Chelsea looks at the two boxes. One large, one small. She plays a game on enie meanie minie mo, and lands on the small box first, so of course she goes straight to opening the large box.

Opening it up she finds her breath being stolen as she looks down at this beautiful blood red fabric with silver lace and beading. She picks the dress up slightly to look at the drape of the fabric and finds herself falling in love with the dress in front of her. Putting the dress down she turns to the small box and opens it up.

"Holy shit." Chelsea gasps as she takes in the necklace in the box.

The thing is magnificent as light reflects off the diamonds, because those are definitely diamonds. That's not even mentioning the red gem that lays at the centre of the necklace, the tear drop shaped ruby at the centre of the necklace.

Chelsea feels like she's about to swallow her tongue and her eyes will fall out of her head at the way she's gawking at the necklace. Carefully she places the box back down onto the table and then she takes a seat. Maybe they can work together after all, Chelsea thinks because there is no way that they both managed to send her matching gifts.
