"This is your idea?" Jameson asked, staring at the screen in front of them.

He and Avery were sitting in her room, watching a screen that showed inside the Foundation.

"Yes. If we can't go to the Foundation, then we bring it to us." Her idea consisted of sending Oren back to the Foundation with a camera, so they could see the damage, but also maybe see what Grayson was working on.

Even though the blood, bullets and bodies had been removed, you could still see the damage. She watched Oren walk into the building. Her heart ached as she saw many of the pictures, that had been hung on the wall with pride, were gone. Bullet holes replaced them.

"What are you looking for?" Oren's voice sounded through the earpiece, that both her and Jameson wore.

"Not sure." She replied. She looked at Jameson, who took over for her. "Can you go into Grayson's office?" he spoke.

         Oren obliged.

Watching the screen, Avery eyes focused on the room. She had been only in this office a few times. An oak desk stood in the middle of the room. Behind it was a large window, that overlooked a well-kept rose garden. The desk was what her eyes were glued to.

Usually neat and in order, now it was the contrary. Papers and documents scattered around, pens underneath them, and Jameson also spotted a phone, its screen shattered.

"Oren, grab the phone." he instructed.  He was quite sure it was Grayson's.

"Also get any documents that look of importance." Avery said. It was hard to see what was actually there. How she wished she could be there in person!

"Anything else?" Oren asked, after gathering everything that looked important.

"Could you scan the room? I might see something." Avery said. She was just finishing saying that when Jameson interrupted and said, "Also check the draws."

Oren scanned the room first. They saw nothing that stood out. But as Oren was going back to the desk, Avery noticed an article of clothing draped over the back of a chair.

"Wait!" she cried. "Is that Grayson's suit jacket on the chair?"

"It is."  Oren confirmed, after taking a closer look at it.

"Bring that back as well."  She doubted that there was anything in it that would lead them to way he had been targeted, but maybe.

Oren next went through the four draws of the desk. The first three had nothing in them. Grayson kept very little, if anything, personal in his office. The last draw did have something. A pair of car keys lay on top of a tan folder. Their hearts leapt. Would this hold the answer they were seeking?

"Open it up." Jameson instructed, watching the screen in anticipation.

He did. What they saw was not what they were expecting. Inside were photographs of Tobias Hawthorne 2nd. The only son of the great Tobias Hawthorne. Toby (as he was called), faked his own death, then lived as a homeless man, named Harry, who Avery used to play chess in the park with. After discovering his real identity, he disappeared again. Only then to be kidnapped by his biological grandfather, Vincent Blake. Avery went to go rescue him but lost him in a game of chess. For losing, Toby had to live with Vincent Blake for the rest of his days.  Avery still found it hard to believe that it had been over three months ago.

"Toby?" she said in disbelief. "Why does Grayson have pictures of Toby?"  It was hard to see, but the pictures looked recent.

Nobody had an answer to her question. Jameson tried to wrap his head around why his brother was taking pictures of Toby. It almost looked like he was spying on them, but why?

"Oren, bring that folder, the other ones you gathered, and Grayson's suit jacket and phone back." Avery ordered.

"What about the keys?" Oren asked.

"Don't they go to Grayson's car?" Avery asked. Grayson tended to drive himself to the Foundation.

      "They are."

"Have one of your men bring drive it back."

"Will do." Then the camera was cut, as Oren prepared to go back to the house.

Pulling the earpiece out, Avery sighed. "You have any idea what your brother was getting into?"

"Not a clue, Heiress. But I have a feeling this is the answer we need."

Avery silently agreed. She had a feeling another game of riddles and unanswered questions were coming. But this time Tobias Hawthorne wasn't pulling the strings.  It was Grayson.
