The Brothers Hawthorne came out today, and I wanted to take a chapter and discus my thoughts on it. If you have not read the book or do not wish to have any spoilers then do not read this chapter. I will put a spoiler warning so you know.

                                                                  SPOILER WARNING!!!!

                                                          CONS:

1: First off, I have to say that I was slightly disappointed at the book. It was really good, but  there was so much more I wanted to know that I didn't get.

Example1: The flashbacks scenes. There wasn't enough of them, and the ones we got they boys were in their treehouse. I wanted scenes of when they went into their grandfather's study and maybe playing in the house.

Example 2: We did get to see a lot of the brothers together, but I wanted to see them playing when they were children, not just when they were adults.

2: The book was slow paced at first and that made it somewhat hard to get into.

3:  I know it was from Jameson's and Grayson's POV, but Avery seemed off and I wish we could have seen Libby. I wanted to see how the brothers would interact with her once they heard the news.

4: Jameson's story line was very confusing and honestly, not that interesting.

5: I really wanted to see more Skye and maybe Zara. I was curious to see how Skye acted toward her sons when they were little, but alas, we didn't get it.

6: Last but not least, I had ordered the Barnes and Noble edition because I thought I was getting an extra bonus story, which I did, but I was under the impression that I would get two short stories while the original had one, but that didn't happen.

                                   PROS:

1: I loooved Gigi!! She was so funny and I really liked that she was able to slowly tear down Grayson's barrier.

2: Getting to see the brothers interact with each other was fun and I liked that we had more Nash. He might not be my favorite character, but I still think he is good.

3: Speaking of Nash, I was very happy when I read that he and Libby are getting married. They are so right for each other.

4: Jameson and Avery moments were cute, and I liked that they are devoted to each other and support one another.

5: Savannah was a hard character to like at first, but she did grow on me. Some of my favorite moments where when her and Grayson were ordering each other around. Or at least trying to.

6: Acacia was so nice!! I was afraid she would hate Grayson, but she was the total opposite. I could feel that Grayson, deep down, wanted a mother like that. I thought she was maybe going to hug him at one point.

7: Getting to see Tobias Hawthorne was nice and awful at the same time. I liked when he told the boys that he pushed them because he loved them, but he could have been nicer about it. Also, the first flashback scene made me feel sad. You could really see how close Jameson and Grayson were at one point.

8: I was so happy when Gigi came back to Grayson. I would have been very sad if she hadn't. The fact she was able to forgive him and wanted him in her life made me like her even more. Grayson needs them as much as they need him.

9: The bachelor party was so funny, and I felt really bad so Nash. Thankfully, he was a really good sport. I can't even imagine what they would do for when, or if, another Hawthorne decides to get married.          Also: Any ideas on who Nash is going to pick for his best man? I think maybe Grayson, but I can also see him walking Libby down the isle as well.

10: This will be the last one for now, and weirdly, my favorite part in the whole book. And that was when Grayson opened the safe deposit box and realized his father had been watching him his whole life. It was something, ironically, I had thought of, but didn't really think it had happened. Knowing that his dad, in some ways, cared about him was amazing.

                                                 END OF SPOILERS

In conclusion, the book wasn't bad, but in my opinion JLB could have done better. (No disrespect to the author. I love her and her works very dearly.)

The ending was quite suspenseful, and I am looking forward to seeing what is next. Eve was just annoying, but I do think she makes a great antagonist for the Hawhtornes and Avery, but especially Grayson.

Also, I have a very important question. Since I knew about Grayson having sisters, I was thinking about having them appear in the story I am writing, but wanted to read the whole book before I made that decision. I definitely think I will, but wanted to see what you all thought of that idea.

Thanks for reading to my ramblings about the book, and hopefully in a few days I will have another chapter out.

But for now, enjoy!!!!
