"I'm sorry for the mess, we simply lack a woman's touch here." I could hear Shou apologize as he created a path by picking up the scattered books.
"Oh my, that was sexist, wasn't it? I'm so sorry!"

Yeah, it kinda is.

"No prob, none taken." I slid the words through my clenched teeth. No matter the world, I can't ever see the bastard clean. There will always be something wrong with him. Edward gave me a confused look, but let it go soon after. We followed hopelessly on the twisted road, until we were standing in front of a young, tiny girl whose age was probably no larger then six.

"Daddy, bigger brother's made all of pots and pans...." She marveled. I chuckled as she continued to ask if they were heavy to Al, but he simply said he was very strong. She pushed one of her braids out from her shoulder as she took in the sight of both Ed and I. "Hi, my name's Nina!" She shyly waved to me before hiding behind Al as Edward chuckled at her.

"Hey," I heard Ed start thinking. A dangerous pastime for him. "Alphonse isn't older than me!"

"But younger means little, you're little!" I mocked Elicia's voice as I leaned over Edward with my inch taller than him. He turned his head towards me in anger as I could literally see steam coming from his ears. Shou coughed, and that got our attention back to him as Nina went back outside to play with Alexander, the dog.

Basically, we were staying with Shou to learn more about the Philosopher's Stone. He then guided us to a large library. It seriously looked as big as the alchemist library back in my own world!! Holy SCIENCE!

I raced away from Al and Ed to one section about time and space, and began thumbing through every page, every book.

"It looks like brother and Scarlett have already started." I could hear Al's playful tone as he caught sight of Edward and I stuck in our own little worlds.

Edward's P.O.V.

I was about to fall asleep from all this information. Yes, it was truly interesting, but when was the last time I had a decent sleep? Not after I had those...visions. Of her. I turned my eyes to her figure just two book cases away; still standing as she looked seriously at yet another book.

"Damn it." I heard her curse as she closed the book heavily and place it back onto the shelf. What was she looking for..? I stood up as she turned the corner, and then I walked up to the same book, and began to pull it out.

What-

I was in my room at Teacher's. I was angry, yet I don't even know why. I stormed into the room, and cautiously because quiet as I saw Scarlett on my bed; sleeping. I tiptoed my way to her side, and noticed the streaks where tears had been dried with sleep. Without another thought, my hand reached out and began to stroke her hair. It was so soft.

"It's alright.." I softly said, pulling her into a hug and stroking her hair again. She snuggles closer to my form, and I held her closer.

"I'll always protect you. After all, if you protect me, and I protect you,

"That's called Equivalent Exchange.. Right?"

I dropped the book.

What was that? And, I looked down at the book. It's dusty brown cover and unabashed binding. Theory of different dimensions. These memories aren't mine, so why do I keep having them???? I was so confused; physically, and emotionally. I gripped my shirt over my heart. Did I love Scarlett? I don't know.
