Shaurya, along with his family, had come to Badrinath for darshan. The peaceful and serene vibe of the sacred place was enough to soothe even the most restless soul. Surrounded by snow-clad peaks and the calm chants echoing in the background, the moment felt divine.

Devotees had arrived from far and wide to seek blessings at the holy shrine, many accompanied by their families and friends. After completing their pooja rituals, Shaurya and his family decided to explore the nearby area.

While strolling through the lanes lined with local shops and soft murmurs of bhajans in the air, Shaurya’s gaze fell on an elderly woman selling vibrant glass bangles

While strolling through the lanes lined with local shops and soft murmurs of bhajans in the air, Shaurya’s gaze fell on an elderly woman selling vibrant glass bangles. A warm memory struck him—Niyati. Her laughter, her eyes that lit up at the smallest joys. Without a second thought, he picked a set of colorful bangles that instantly reminded him of her. Wrapping them carefully, he tucked the box deep into his bag, not wanting anyone in his family to find out. His heart felt fuller just thinking of the smile those bangles would bring to her face.

Meanwhile, back at home, Mahima noticed Niyati’s unusually quiet demeanor. Sighing, she spoke with affection, “Invite Shaurya and his family to our house.”

Niyati looked up, surprised and a little shocked. Her eyes widened in disbelief but the next moment, a radiant grin spread across her face. She jumped up from her place and enveloped her mother in a tight hug, kissing her cheek with excitement.

“Thankuuu so much, Mumma! I loveeee you so much!” she squealed.

“Hmmm… more than Shaurya?” Kalyani chimed in teasingly, making Niyati’s cheeks flush a deep pink. She stomped her foot playfully, whining at her Naani for teasing her.

Embarrassed yet happy, Niyati ran upstairs to call Shaurya, her heart fluttering at the thought of him finally meeting her mother. But the smile faded as she saw “Number not reachable” flashing repeatedly on her phone screen.

“Uff!! This man never picks up his phone when it’s damn important,” she huffed, trying again, only to be met with the same response. She tossed her phone on the bed and decided to try again later.
