Battle in Rainbow Road

Sorry for not writing anything yesterday. For I had a terrible fever, which made me weak. But I'm well enough to write today.

I had to change the last 8 chapters, to be more compatible and correct some errors that I didn't notice. I hope you like it and wait for the next chapter.

Bowser had watched the green-clad mustachioed human through binoculars, talking with your fiancée, and growled at how close the two of them were. Below, on a cliff, the Koopa army were in their own karts, as they watched over Rainbow Road.

"Attack!" - one of the Koopas screamed, causing the Koopa army to start their karts and head towards the rainbow track, grouping among the Kong army and attacking them.

"It's an ambush!" - Peach, who was leading the way along with Luigi, announced in shock. Luigi looked back, and noticed one of the Koopas heading towards him, with a Bob-omb in his hand, while smiling sadistically at him.

Luigi was briefly startled and at a loss for what to do, until out of nowhere, Cranky Kong appeared and pushed the Koopa away, saving the green plumber. - "Defensive position!" - he shouted to his army.

Each of the Kong soldiers began to counterattack, throwing banana peels across the road, sending several Koopas sliding out. Close behind, a large bulldozer came up behind, pushing two Kongs out of the way.

Above the vehicle was Koopa general, who laughed maniacally as he pushed several karts out of his way until he found his main target.

"Luigi! You're a dead man!" - he shouted, as he triggered two mechanics with sharp spikes. Luigi found himself in despair as he tried to pull away. In front of him, he realized that there were several different roads. With that, an idea popped into his mind.

"Split up!" - the green plumber shouted, as he accelerated and headed into another road on the right, while the rest went into the road on the left. - "Luigi!" - Peach murmured, worried.

During his run on the road, Luigi drifted sideways while dodging Koopa general's bulldozer. As he looked around he saw another road below and thinking fast he got a mini-turbo and jumped down.

Koopa general snarled after missing his target. Luigi took a deep breath and smiled after managing to escape from him. However, ahead of him, he saw that the road had several loops. While driving, he began to despair, thinking he was going to die. But to his surprise, his kart's wheels moved, allowing him to float on the road without falling, much to his relief.

Not giving up, Koopa general activated two Bill Blasters and launched them towards the green plumber. Upon realizing the attack, Luigi had no choice but to abandon his kart. After your kart is destroyed, he fell a few meters from the road above, until he landed on top of a kart belonging to one of the Koopas.

The Koopa tried to drift sideways, trying to knock the human out of his kart, but Luigi not only stood his ground, he also slammed into another Koopa kart, forcing them to retreat into their shells. Luigi grabbed one of them, and when he saw another Koopa trying to hit him with three Bill Blasters, he thought fast and launched the shell against the kart, knocking the Koopa off of it and exploding in front of the huge bulldozer.

On the road below, Toad was pursued by several Koopas, who fired several Bill Blasters in his direction. Nearby, Peach was driving in the other road, also being chased by Koopas. Finding herself surrounded by the two Koopas, the princess kicked one and knocked the other down with her motorcycle.

Looking back, a Bill Blaster shot towards her, but ended up hitting a floating rock nearby. Half of the cliff fell and destroyed one of the rainbow roads below.

By irony of fate, Toad was driving in that road, and he screamed when he saw that it had been broken. - "I'm too cute to die!" - he screamed, as he fell to his death, with his kart, while clutching Luigi's bag of tools, which he still kept with him.

Seeing him falling, Peach pressed a button on her motorcycle, deactivating the gravity pulse and catching Toad in the fall. They glided through the air, giving Toad time to climb onto the back. - "That is how you princess!" - he exclaimed excitedly, as they landed on a road.

Right behind, Luigi was driving, while throwing a banana peel at one of the Koopas that was in front of him. Close behind, the Koopa general was back on his tail. Before Luigi could react, the Koopa trapped him between the spiked mechanics.

On instinct, Luigi tried to hold himself between the metals, while the general laughed maniacally when he saw that his target was caught. - "Time to die, Luigi!" - after that, he threw a lever, crushing the kart along with the human.

While the Koopa general cackled at his feat, Luigi was clinging to the front of the bulldozer, finding himself in despair. As he tried to move, he saw a kart coming from behind, and he recognized it as Donkey Kong.

With that, a plan popped into his mind, and he started climbing until he reached the top. The general's satisfied expression changed to shock when he realized that the green plumber was still alive. - "Huh?"

After taking a deep breath, Luigi got up and jumped over the Koopa's head and jumped towards DK's kart. With the human safe, Donkey Kong quickly pressed a button, and fired one of the Rocket Barrels from his kart to explode at the bulldozer.

"See ya!" - he yelled. - "No!" - the Koopa general yelled, before his vehicle exploded. After overcoming the explosion, Luigi celebrated and hugged DK, who was taken aback by that action. Right ahead, Toad also celebrated, while Peach watched them and accelerated.

As the two karts moved forward, a shadow emerged from the flames. An infuriated Koopa General limped along as he declared. - "You...can't escape me."

"What?" - Luigi questioned, as he and DK looked back in disbelief. - "Blue shell!" - Koopa General screamed, as he took off his helmet, and tucked up in his winged, spiky Blue Shell. He flew towards Luigi and Donkey Kong's kart, and spun around them, who despaired.

In the end, the Koopa hit the human and the Kong, destroying the latter's kart and a part of the road. Luigi and Donkey Kong shouted and plummeted to the bottom, as Peach and Toad escaped.

"No! No, Luigi... " - Peach muttered, in disbelief at what ended up happening before her eyes, along with Toad, who hugged the bag of tools sadly.

Right behind, the Kongs stopped at the broken section of the road. - "Ah! No! No... " - Cranky exclaimed, in utter disbelief at what had happened to his son. But he didn't have much time, as he was captured by a Koopa in a flying Koopa Clown Cars.

More Koopas arrived in flying Koopa Clown Cars and carried all the other Kongs toward Bowser's castle. - "Get your clown claws off of me!" - shouted the king, still in devastation.

Meanwhile, Bowser laughed, proud to have gotten rid of his human competitor. - "Goodbye, Luigi." - he murmured, satisfied.

With that, seeing that her plan had failed, along with the loss of their partner, Peach had no other choice but to return to the Mushroom Kingdom. - "We have to get home!" - she declared, while accelerating, with the Kongs in the background being taken to Bowser's castle.

I confess that this chapter gave me agony, since the first time I saw this scene in the movie theater. From the next it will get a little tense.
