It had been almost a week since Haneul had been locked in the house. She could only learnt about Jongseong's whereabout from Hyunjae. Hyunjae told her that Jongseong came numerous times to apologize and see her but every time her father would scold him to leave without letting him have his chance to speak. Hyunjae said Jongseong looks skinny after the news came out, which made her worry. Hyunjae would update her about what the news said about them and what others' opinion on them.

"Your followers on instagram said they will root for you. They know you two are in love with each"

His words linger in her mind. Haneul turned to the other side of her bed. Again, she had trouble falling asleep. She sighed and stared outside.

A sudden movement in the dark caught her attention. The tree next to her window swayed. She frowned and slowly got off her bed. With caution she approached the window. She pushed the curtains open, and gasped at what she saw. A figure sitting on top of one of the huge branches there. She almost screamed but stopped when she recognized the figure. She gasped and flung her windows open.

"Hey" Jongseong smiled sheepishly as he struggled to climb towards her windows. She was stunted but quickly helped him.

Both of them fell on the floor with a soft thud. She quickly got up.

"What are you doing here? I can't meet you" she exclaimed.

"Shh" he hushed. "Rules are meant to be broken" he winked.

Now that she got a good look at him, her heart shattered. He did look way skinnier than the last time they met.

"What the hell. Don't you eat?" she wiped her tears as it fell.

"Hey, hey" he panicked. "Don't cry. Why- why are you crying?"

"You might get sick, Jongseong. I thought I told you to take care of yourself" she pouted with tears fell. He pulled her into a hug. "Damn it, I'm not here to see you ugly cry. I'm here to see my wife"

"Jongseong..." she whimpered.

"Sorry. For worrying you" he said.

"Sorry my Dad is really hard on you" "I know. And I'm ready to face him again. Until I can change his mind and let us meet again"

He felt her nodding. He sighed in relief. He felt calm again after a while. Having her in his arms again. He couldn't believe this was real. Finally, after what felt like an eternity.

He broke the hug and pulled her to the bed. They settled themselves comfortably under the blanket. She was clinging to him tightly, her cheek rested on his chest. "I want to stay like this forever" she whispered. "Me too" he caressed her head for a while until he heard a soft snore.

He chuckled. At least she's sleeping peacefully again. He kissed her forehead. She moved slightly. Jongseong got out of bed, pulling the cover over her. He watched her. She slept well. That was all he needed.

Haneul woke up again when the sun rays were shining bright on her eyes through the window. Her eyes suddenly opened, recalling last night's incident. She jumped out from her bed, looking around the room. No sight of Jongseong. She went to the window. It was left slightly open. Her shoulder fell. "Why the heck do I fall asleep when he's around?" she sighed, disappointed in herself.

Haneul was at the dining table, having breakfast with the rest of the family.

"Ouh Haneul, I just remember" Hyunjae took her attention. "Some writer keeps on ringing you so I answer the call. He said he needs to have a meeting with you as soon as possible. He said it's important"
