Lux
Today I go home to work things out because Jacks parents come back tonight.
Jack told me that if I needed anything to call or text him and he would get me.
"ready?" Jack asks.
"ready as I'll ever be." I smile slightly.
"remember to call if things are out of hand."
"I will."
we get in his Jeep and he takes me home.
I slowly but surely get out of the Jeep. I walk to my house and Jack pulls out of the driveway.
I open the door and my parents come rushing.
"your grounded." Blake says.
"you actually think that, that makes it any better. it doesn't. it makes me want to stay out more. I knew I should've stayed. I don't like your rules. I hate them. and if I don't want to listen to them I will leave. you said yourself your house, your rules. my house, my rules." I say pushing past him.
"Luxtyn. come back here."
"no. I don't like you."
"I told you to be soft and subtle with her. you never are and that's why we are always fighting with her." my mom says shaking her head.
"why are you taking her side?"
"because I was a teenager once and if I was yelled at I would yell back and rebel even more. If I was talked to nice and subtle, I wouldn't argue. that's how you have to be with her. she's going to end up leaving again."
"well we need to be on the same page as each other throughout this because she will go behind our backs to get her way."
"we do but we aren't. we all need to sit down and talk about everything."
"agreed."
"ASHER, LUX GET IN HERE!"
"whattt?" I say annoyed.
"we are having a meeting."
"okay well I'm leaving then."
"no. it's a family meeting."
"ugh whatever." I say and sit in the couch.
"okay so we are all going to be on the same page here."
"what rules don't you like? so we can see if we can negotiate rules."
"the no party rule on Fridays that's crazy."
"okay we can take that off."
"the no disrespect rule is harsh."
"um... we can tone it down a little bug you have to respect us."
"that's all I have."
"the lets only pay attention to lux rule." Asher says.
"that's not a rule."
"yeah but if you didn't pay so much attention to her you might know that I have smoked weed and lost my virginity."
"dang son. you didn't tell me that." I say to him.
"we can start paying more attention to you and not Lux."
"good. I'm done here." he says and gets up.
"dinner will be done in 10 minutes be ready."
"okay. Can I invite someone?"
"yeah. who?"
"some of my friends like 5."
"yeah I guess."
I text Sammy, Jack, Johnson, lauren, and skate.
m- hey guys wanna eat with my family?
Sam- yeah. I'll be over in a few.
Skathan- yeppp. I'm with Sam so I'll be over with him.
Lauren- you know it.
Johnson- yeah I'll be over in 5
Jack- yep babe. see you soon.
m- drive and walk safe.
I can't wait for dinner tonight.
