Happy chappie forty—not extra large—~and thanks for the 21.5 k reads~ ^_^
I blinked as Hiro shouted energetically, "my turn!"
"What're we doing?" I looked at the bottle that was set in the middle.
"He insisted on a stupid game." Takuto said irritably, while doing something on his phone.
"Wah—truth or dare isn't stupid!" Hiro protested.
What the heck is truth or dare? By the name I'm assuming that one has to tell a truth or take on a dare.
Hiro spun the bottle, and it stopped pointing to Takuto.
"So, Takkun, truth or dare?" Hiro asked with a huge grin on his face.
Takuto: "Dare, and DON'T CALL ME THAT."
Hiro: "I dare you to not have pork noodles for a week."
Takuto first just silently glared at him, which was his scariest glare of all. After all I think he's the most intimidating when he's silent.
"Fine."
Takuto spun the bottle next, and it landed to Riki.
"Dare." Riki said without second thought.
Takuto: "I dare you to stay away from any reflective object for an entire three weeks."
Atsumu: "That's just purely evil considering it's Riki."
Takuto: "Exactly."
Riki: "What've I ever done to you?!"
Takuto: "You know exactly what I'm talking about."
Lillie: "I don't know what's going on anymore, guys..."
Them both shared a quick glare before Riki spun the bottle, which landed on me.
Ah jeez.
"So, Kuin, what shall it be?" Riki asked with a smirk.
"Truth." I said. I don't wanna risk getting dared to do embarrassing stuff.
"Then..." his face was purely serious as he asked, "are you seeing anyone?"
Not feeling bothered by the question at all, I tapped a finger to my chin.
Third person point of view
Everyone was listening somehow intently as the clock ticked by and Lillie was still silent.
Suddenly, she smiled shyly, "Yeah...I guess so."
"H—who is it?" Kenshi asked without thinking, Lillie just shook her head, "only one question."
She spun the bottle, and it landed on Kenshi.
Kenshi: "Truth."
*** [the rest is not important and i'm lazy to type so XP]
"for the next month, your issue will be the Black Foxes." chief editor said to me, "we've got side info on their next target, its the amethyst statue."
i made mental notes to ask the bf later today to confirm that, or rather, if even our company knows about it, we should just change a target.
"and you want ME to...?" i ask, taking out my notepad.
"I've arranged someone who you will be staking out with the night of." he said matter-of-factly, "his name is Arisugawa, he's from the FBI."
ah great, an FBI agent, really? now how the heck am i supposed to cover for us?
[I've never did anything Yuki related, so if he's ooc or sth i apologize]
~~
"What up." Riki casually greeted at the side of the counter when I got back.
"Hey guys...and um...what's our next mission?" I ask, setting down my purse.
"Ah that," Hiro sat down next to me, "we just sent a threat this early afternoon for the amethyst statue."
"Can it be postponed?" I ask out of nowhere, surprising everybody. I explain further, "even our company got hold of that information, and an FBI agent is going to stake out with me, I'm not sure I can be much help. It'll be a miracle if nothing happens to you guys."
Kenshi just smiled softly at my words, "don't worry too much. We know what we're doing, trust!"
Hiro and Riki nods in agreement.
"...alright." I gave in. But this ain't over yet
"It can't be helped because it's gonna get illegally sold the next day." Atsumu says, all serious.
"When is the mission?" I ask, unwrapping a piece of chocolate and throwing it in my mouth.
"Tomorrow night." Hiro says, "and don't worry about us! We've managed for quite some time before you joined, y'know."
"I wonder how well that can still go on if you keep on talking...." I say with a threatening aura but a perfectly innocent smile.
"Lillie you're so cute~" Hiro says at my smile, but then flinched when he heard my tone of voice, "yet so evil...."
"Then...be safe with whichever FBI agent you were talking about." Takuto says, still burying his face in his laptop.
I felt my lips twist into a smirk: "you know, Takkun. I'm not dense."
Riki frowned slightly, "what does that mean?"
"First, I know you're hiding a blush under your laptop." Takuto flinched at my words since it was spot-on.
"And second..?" Kenshi butts in and asks.
"Oh no, that's all, I changed my mind." I flash another one of my famous sweet smiles at them before going upstairs.
Riki's POV
"She definitely was making another point...." Hiro pouted as he wondered what she was going to say but then stopped.
"Guys...?" I speak up, "has it ever occurred to you that maybe Kuin...is just playing innocent?"
"Yeah, we all know that she's a very good actor and--" boss started to say when he trailed off, suddenly coming to realization.
"...she might know about our feelings, but is just pretending not to notice. As she just hinted us off, she's not dense." I finished. I should've realized this sooner.
"..." everyone was silent for a minute.
"For the first time, you've said something smart." Takuto muttered under his breath, giving me an irk mark.
"does that mean she's playing with us..?" the hurt and disappointment was clear in Hiro's voice.
"I don't think that, though." We all look to boss' direction.
"She might be pretending to be oblivious, but I think she actually meant it when she said she was, in fact, seeing someone."
"Well, I just hope it's one of us."
