When Jeff ever goes out to go grocery shopping (Slenderman told him to), Liu always comes with him. Jeff also wears sunglasses and a mask, so when people ask why, Liu simply states that Jeff doesn't like how he looks, while Jeff stays silent. Jeff is also introverted, and never speaks to those he doesn't know unless he is killing them.
