(Artemis' pov)
I took a deep breath before hitting the call button. I would be calling shino, and shino would have his phone on speaker for everyone to hear what I'm saying
"Hello?" I say
"Guessing you're ready" Shino says
I take another breath before leaving my room "yeah, he is sleeping right now"
"That's good just make your way to the room" said Iris
I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where that door was
"I'm about to go in" I say
"Alright, we have a note pad ready" said Kol
"Going in now" I say opening the door
It wasn't a big room, I had to turn to the left to see the whole room since it followed along the stairs due to it being under it
"Well?" Asked Kol
"Uh- well the light is off, but there are papers on the walls and string connecting some and a desk? Table? At the end full of papers" I say
"Anything important?" Asked Davis
"Uh- there are pictures of Kiyo, Sapphire and Nico... One of Database and my mom, then one of Victor but it just says friend with it" I say
"What about the desk?" Asked Rikku
I walked over "more paper with string"
"Nothing important?" Asked Shizu
"Uh- there is a paper that says perfect experiment and the string connects to a picture of...." I just stopped and stated at it in shock
"Arty?" Asked Shino
"It's me... It goes over all the tests and how I haven't failed any like the rest" I say
"Test for what? Is it the same for me and Sapphire?" Asked Kiyo
"No, yours is here but that's for Victor, this is about increasing someone's quirk and stuff like that, it says most couldn't handle it or the quirk just took over" I say
"Like getting rid of weakness?" Asked Kol
"In a way, yeah no weaknesses, making it stronger, something about hoping for the person to be mindless but it isn't possible since that person needs to use the quirk" I explained
"Okay, uh- anything else?" Davis asked
"Something about using it to get rid of the heroes? Or just using it to do anything" I say "I can't see a clear motive"
"Can't see clear motive" Kol repeats writing it down
"But they did this all to you?" Rikku asked
"Yeah... Since I was little" I said
"Maybe that's why you don't really have a weakness other than light? Like how most of us get headaches or drawbacks" said Shizu
"I mean I do kinda get a headache if I over do it" I say
"It could also be why you change when you activate your quirk" Shino suggested
"Yeah, maybe" I say
"See if they have a base" Kiyo asked
"Base...base, ah! Here the base is-" Before I could say I felt something hit me in the head, knocking me out as I hit the floor
(Shino's pov)
"Arty?" I asked
We all heard something like hitting something then footsteps
"Artemis?" Asked Davis
I picked up my phone from the table, then we all heard a crack then lost connection
"Call back" Kol says
"It goes straight to voicemail" I say
"Did his dad break his phone?" Rikku asked, scared out of her mind
I take a shaky breath and say "I- I think so"
