Mr Adetoun's POV

I was having breakfast when Dara's call came through, well I am surprised. Though I knew she hasn't  run off because my wife's private investigator has been following her around, we hadn't heard from her. Well, I wouldn't blame her. Ever since Dara got engaged to Raymond my house has been on fire. Though Wura cooks for me and fulfils her responsibilities as a wife, there's no peace nor joy in this house. Well everyone has been on edge, even the media. But I guess they'll just have to get used to it. it's been a week and none of us has heard from Dara. While I am being stubborn, my wife on the other hand is ashamed to call her. I think she's even ashamed to be called my wife.

"Hi dad," she said immediately I picked up

"How are you Darasimi?" I asked

"I'm fine Dad, sorry I got you and mum a little bit worried. How is she doing?"

"She's fine. Should I give her the phone? I asked

"Yes, but please help me to send future hubby's phone number when I am done talking to mum"

"Aright dear" I replied and passed the phone to my wife who was finding it difficult to open her mouth and talk

"Mum, you don't have to be sad about this. I've decided to get married to Raymond, so we have a wedding to plan. Can we meet up tomorrow I've missed you?"

"Alright dear"

"Ok mum, I have to go now. I love you" she said and hung up

"Did I just hear her say she's getting married to Raymond?" I asked in curiosity

"Kunle, it's exactly what you heard, so stop asking me jamb questions," she said and left the dining in anger

I've noticed that she calls me Kunle these days which she only does when she's mad at me. but Dara has decided to get married to Raymond. Shouldn't she be happy for her daughter? Women are complicated beings, especially with their mood swings. One minute they are happy, the other they are sad, angry, frustrated, and the list goes on.

After I finished my breakfast, I put the dishes in the dishwasher before going to work. I had to do it myself. I gave the maids a month's leave to resolve the issue on ground because I believe is getting settled already.

Raymond's POV

I was working on some documents when my phone started ringing and I was surprised when I realized it was Dara. I haven't heard from her in a week. Though I wanted to give her some space to get herself together, my patience has been ticking off like a wall clock. I can't bear to lose her now that I already have her by my side. I picked up and pretended as if I didn't have her phone number on my phone

"Hi future hubby" she greeted

"Please who is this?" I asked

"Pretending as if you don't have my contacts right? Anyways, this is Darasimi your future wife" she said and chuckled

"How are you dear? I was waiting to hear from you latest this week or I might be forced to kidnap and marry you in private"

"It's something I know you can do future hubby. If I could get engaged to you without me saying yes, then I don't think there's something hard for the mighty CEO to do" she said sarcastically

"Only for you Dara. Even though you don't have to be sarcastic about it"

"You better get used to it or you're having cold feet already?"

"Not in a thousand years to come future wife"

"Well, it's great to know that future hubby has a great sense of humour. At least the house won't be boring

"Oh, there's a lot you don't know about me, future wife. You would be surprised when you know them but there's no rush we have forever to ourselves. A step at a time"

She chuckled and replied, "If only you know that we don't have forever on earth to do the things God has commissioned into our hands. Well, that's not why I called in the first place. How about we both go for lunch in any restaurant of your choice? But mind you I'm not a fan of the media" she finished on a serious note

"Noted ma'am," I said and chuckled

"12 pm?" she asked

"12 p.m it is" I replied and we both hung up

"Yes Yes Yes," I said to myself with a smile

I guess it's time to get to know my future wife. Oh yes, Darasimi is my future wife. Mrs Darasimi Raymond to be. That name alone brought a smile to my face. I quickly finished up everything that needed my immediate attention. I can't afford to attend to a princess late.
