It was Friday.

Stan had been waiting all week for today. Because today he was going on a date with his wife. Stan and Wendy have been together for 18 years and have been married for 3 years. And those were the happiest years of Stan's life.

It's been a while since he's actually gone on a date with Wendy. The couple didn't feel the need to go on a dates, but Stan decided going on a date after so long would be good for them. He was super exited for his date with Wendy, he figured nothing could ruin this day but he was dead wrong.

Because a few hours before his date his dear friend Kenny McCormick showed up at his doorstep. "Listen dude, I really need your help!" He said urgently as he gripped Stans shoulders. Stan couldn't help but stare at him confused. "What is-"

"Don't ask questions and just trust me on this!"

And so that is how Stan now found himself in a jail cell, sitting on the bottom bunk of his shared bunk bed with his friend Kenny sitting beside him. "You've been quiet this whole time so I can only imagine how mad you are at me." Kenny finally broke the silence as he inspected Stan's facial expressions in an attempt to understand how he felt. Stan shot his blond friend a glare before standing up from the bed and walking away from him, which wasn't that far since the jail cell was pretty small.

"Okay in my defense.... I didn't expect them to have put a security system in place." Kenny tried to make the situation a little better but this only fueled Stan's rage, he quickly spun around. "Just shut the fuck up! The mere sound of your voice infuriates me!"

Kenny rolled his eyes at Stan as he stood up from the bed and took a few steps towards him. "You can't seriously blame me for this? The prick took my sister's engagement ring! What was I supposed to do!?" He argued back as he tried to keep his voice down so the guards wouldn't hear. "You gave me no details whatsoever! If I knew what was about to happen I would have never helped you! I was supposed to be spending my time with Wendy at a fancy restaurant but now I'm stuck in jail because of you!"

"See, that's the exact reason why I didn't tell you. All you ever think about is yourself." Kenny said with a groan as he lay down on the bottom bunk. "Oh my fucking god... there is no way you're calling ME selfish! I could strangle you right now." Stan said as he rubbed his face with his hands in annoyance. "Do it. I'll just come back anyway." Kenny said as he shrugged.

"Marsh!" Their conversation was interrupted by a guard who began to unlock the cell. "You're getting bailed out." He finished as he opened the cell and grabbed his hand cuffs so he could restrain Stan. Kenny sat up on the bed as he stared at Stan, the black haired man returned Kenny's confused stare. "Hands against the wall." The officer ordered. The boys complied as they both placed their hands against the wall. Once Stan was hand cuffed the officer led him out of the cell before locking Kenny back inside.

Kenny griped the bars of his cell as he watched the officer take Stan down the hall. "Stan! I know you're mad at me but could you at least tell Kelly where I am? She'll be worried about me.." Kenny asked his friend. Stan gave him a quiet "yes" as he continued to walk down the hall.

Once Stan made it to the main lobby the officer finally uncuffed him. Stan rubbed his wrists as he looked around for the person who bailed him out, it was no surprise when he saw his wife running towards him. She had a white bag in one of her hands, Stan assumed the bag had his stuff in it. She wrapped her arms around him, engulfing him in a tight hug before pulling away from him. She held his face with her hands as she inspected him. "Are you okay? They weren't too rough with you were they? If anything happened just know that one of my friends is a lawyer." She said sternly.

Stan shook his head as he gently held her hands, he was relieved to finally be with her. "No. It's okay." He said with a sigh. "I'm sorry honey, I ruined our date didn't I?" He looked at her sadly. She gave him a sympathetic stare as she hugged him once more. "Don't worry about that Stan. I'm just glad you're okay."

The car ride home was silent. Stan couldn't help but feel bad about ruining a night that was meant to be special. Once they arrived home Wendy placed her keys on the counter and set the bag beside the door. "I'm going to take a shower." She said as she kissed his cheek before wandering down to the bathroom.

Stan waited in the bedroom for her to be done. After about 10 minutes she finally entered the bedroom dressed in a white robe and rubbing her hair with a towel. She couldn't help but feel Stan's eyes on her and stopped drying her hair as she looked up at him. "What?" She asked confused. "Are you sure you're not mad at me?" He questioned, he had to make sure. She stared at him for a moment before placing the towel in the dirty clothes basket. "When you didn't show up to our date I was mad because I thought you left me there all alone. But when I found out that you were in jail I was more relieved that you didn't stand me up." She answered.

Stan looked at her sadly as he walked over to her. "I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get to have our night together but I'm not mad at you Stan. I know how..... your friends can be. And that's not an excuse for what happened tonight but I hope you'll tell me next time you decide to do something stupid." She finished. Stan wrapped his arms around her waist as he nodded. "I will. And for what it's worth, I'm really sorry." He apologized. Wendy stared into his eyes as she thought for a moment. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she smiled.

"You know... if you're really sorry then I have an idea on how you can make it up to me." She said, her smile never faltered. Stan quirked an eyebrow. "I'm listening." He gestured her to continue. "Well, how does a movie night sound?" She suggested. Stan smiled at her, "sounds great."

A/N:~ okay, I was hesitant with the word "honey" because I know that's Craig's word for Tweek 😭 but I felt like "babe" was too weird for a married couple so yeah. If you're wondering about the use of that word then this was my thought process.

Obviously Wendy would probably be mad about this but this is meant to be fluff so... yeah I didn't make her angry. I think it's probably very obvious that I'm not good at making the South Park characters act like how they act in the show so... I'm sorry about that but that's just how it's going to be for this fanfic 💀

Also, that is the cutest fan art I've ever seen.
