Jennings, Lashman and Dwyer de-boarded the train by 10:45 p.m. and saw a valet running up the platform to meet them and waving his hands. He came to a stop to catch his breath and said, "Hullo, gentlemen. Are you three headed for Varley Place?"
"Yes, we are," Lashman said, taking the natural lead, as he was the most energetic of the three.
"Then follow me, sirs," he said, leading the three men off the platforms. "Our cab is a short way's away from here."
With that, they all followed the valet off the platform. It was a lonely venture, just a few
with a nod of his head and some curt words, before passing through to
