Aerin sat behind the wheel of her car, frustration mounting as she glanced at her wristwatch, the hands indicating it was around midnight.

"I shouldn't have agreed to the last round of Monopoly; it's too late," she muttered to herself, her voice tinged with annoyance.

As she waited at the red signal, Aerin's impatience grew with each passing second. Finally, the light turned green, but when she attempted to start her car, nothing happened. Panic began to rise within her as she tried turning the key, pressing the accelerator, and shifting gears, but the engine remained stubbornly silent.

"Not the car now, geez!" Aerin groaned in frustration, her hands gripping the steering wheel tightly.

With a resigned sigh, Aerin reached for her phone, only to realize that it had run out of battery. A sense of helplessness washed over her as she scanned the deserted road, realizing there was no one around to ask for assistance.

She stepped out of the car, the cool night air enveloping her as she surveyed the vehicle, hoping to identify the source of the problem. Despite her best efforts, however, she couldn't find anything visibly wrong.

Aerin's frustration mounted with each passing moment, the weight of the situation pressing down on her shoulders. Alone on the empty road, with her phone dead and her car refusing to start, she couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability. Determined to resolve the issue on her own, Aerin steeled herself and continued to inspect the car, her mind racing with possibilities as she searched for a solution in the darkness of the night.

"The engine seems pretty fine. Then why isn't this moving?" Aerin muttered to herself, frustration gnawing at her as she continued to wrestle with the car.

Her agitation only grew as she felt drops of water on her face, soon turning into a torrential downpour that soaked her to the bone. Despite the rain pounding against her, Aerin persisted in her attempts to fix the car, her determination unyielding.

But after some time, she reluctantly admitted defeat. With a heavy sigh, she grabbed her purse and began to walk along the deserted road, the rain relentless in its assault.

"This has to be the worst day of my life, istg," Aerin muttered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the pouring rain.

As she trudged along, her vision obscured by the darkness and the deluge, Aerin suddenly felt a weight lift from her shoulders. Looking up, she realized that the rain was no longer falling on her, and she could feel the comforting shelter of an umbrella over her head.

Startled, she glanced to the side and saw the person she least expected: her boyfriend, standing beside her with a gentle smile on his face, his dimples popping out in the dim light.

Aerin's heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, a mixture of relief and gratitude flooding through her. For a moment, she forgot all about the frustration and exhaustion of the past hour, focusing instead on the warmth of his presence and the genuine care reflected in his smile. It was moments like these that reminded her why she fell in love with him in the first place, and as they walked together through the rain, Aerin couldn't help but feel a sense of reassurance wash over her.

"Hi," Seungcheol greeted shortly, his voice low but smooth as he glanced at Aerin.

"Hey," Aerin replied hesitantly, her tone awkward and uncertain. Despite their argument earlier that morning, there was an undeniable tension between them, a lingering sense of affection that neither could fully ignore.

As they walked side by side in the rain, Aerin's mind raced with conflicting emotions. On one hand, she wanted to confront Seungcheol about his behavior, to demand answers and assert her worth. But on the other hand, she couldn't help but feel a deep longing for him, a desire to be close to him despite everything.
