Mianmian, "I am not going in there." She plopped on the ground, Wen Qing joining her, "Neither am I."

Wuxian, "Well you have no choice, that, *she pointed at the cave entrance* is our way home."

The remaining group did not even act surprised as they are used to Nyx always doing things on the whim.

Yes the remaining group. Most of the cultivators that joined the viewing later on were sent back home. Obviously Nyx got bored as dealing with a large crowd doesn't give her as much satisfaction as she thought it would.

But she kept almost all the juniors that were with Ying during the Yi City fiasco.

Mianmian, "We'll just go back the way we came. Surely there might be a way to break out of this maze."

Wuxian, "And you think we'd still be here if there was another way out."

Mianmian, "Fuck!" She cursed their luck as she got up, Wen Qing following suit.

Ying, "Aren't you a loyal lover Qing-jiejie~~" He teased. Finally, he can joke around without getting weird looks, he'll have to chastise and thank Nyx.

Huaisang had been clinging to Wen Ning's arm for dear life. It's not that he can't defend himself, he can, it's only that he's the weakest of the group so naturally he'd be the first to die if shit went south, at least like this, his boyfriend will be able to protect him.

Wen Ning, "You are my priority, never worry for you are safe when I am with you, I'll never let anyone or anything touch you."

Huaisang was touched by his boyfriend's confession, if he wasn't anywhere near his brother he'd have given him a kiss.

The group pushed the large cave doors open.

The insides of the cave were modest, habitable even. In the past few years they have never heard of anyone living here but by the way the cave is kept tidy and serviced. It looked like the owner just stepped out for a second.

Ying, 'Even much more habitable than when I was living there, looks like the new owner has enough money to take care of their needs.' He felt bad, if only his cave looked like this back then, then he'd have been able to get Wangji to spend the night or even visit often.

The deeper they went the more beauty they were introduced to. At the very end of the cave was some sort of a pool.

Recognizing the pool Wuxian gasped aloud as her legs buckled underneath her. The flash of memories that overwhelmed Wuxian were so severe.

Cangse had been on the edge of her seat, she trusted Nyx, but she could not trust her otherself,  what if the girl is wrong and it had been her all along.

At Wuxian's gasp she shot up, "What? What is it!!?"

Changze pulled her back down, "Relax." He pulled her to his lap and started rubbing circles around her back.

Nyx was at a loss for words, 'Did I miss something?'

Wangji though caught her just in time as he sat down to properly craddle his bride, "A-YING/A-XIAN/WUXIAN!!" They all called out to her but she was gone, not gone gone but just in a trance fixed state.
