They say that after rain comes sunshine, but Alan never thought of this as real.
From birth, things have being hard for him.

The death of his mom while giving birth to him, the brutality of his father's murder right in front of him.
He is now sixteen but life, life has never been fair.

Living with his uncle, what many would think is consoling, has being hell in a cell.
Right from when he came to live with them, he has being maltreated many times.

He has learned not to talk until spoken to, and with time he forgot how to answer to questions, he became dumb.

"I think we should let him be". The doctor advised the police men that came with him.

"His brain isn't stable, and you won't get any word out of him".

"You're a doctor, can't tell us what to do". The cop answered.

"This--." He pointed at the boy.

"Is our responsibility, you've done your part, thanks". And they carried him up.

"What of my payment?" The doctor asked.

"Consider it charity, duty to your country you know". And with a wave, they carried him out.
They were now at the station, and the boy was brought for questioning.

"Hey kiddie, we ain't gonna hurt you, just need a little something from ya"
He just kept staring.

"Where are you from?"
30 seconds, and no answer. The sergeant bit his tongue to avoid doing anything rash.

"Will you fucking tell me something"

"......"

"Okay, since you refused to talk, you're gonna stay here. When you're ready, just tap the window, okay." He stared at the boy a long time before going out.

They're gonna lock me up. he thought, and immediately thought of a plan of escape.

"How did it go?"

"Men, the guy is really dumb. Never uttered a word". He sighed.
"I think we should put up a notice for him, maybe someone who knows him might come up".

"Hey guys what's going on here?" A female cop waved at them.

"We don't know how to handle that kid over there, go and check maybe he'll listen to you, I think he's afraid of us men". He winked.

"Um, I ain't seeing anybody inside there" she answered.
