"We need more blankets!"

"Hey, can you get Daki's medicine?"

"And add a cup of water to that!"

This was the daily life of Akaza, a demon, and a volunteer to help young demons survive.

"On it!" Akaza yelled to a blonde guy. He was currently holding a young girl with snow-white hair.

He quickly rushed to give another adult demon some blankets.

He went to the kitchen to look for medicine.
He opened the refrigerator. "Shit" Akaza whispered to himself.

"U-upper Moon Three?" Akaza turned his head.

"Oh," Akaza smiled.

The person that called his name was behind a mountain of boxes they were carrying.

"Hey, Gyutaro! Do you need anything?"

Gyutaro peaks behind the boxes.

He hesitated before saying something.
Gyutaro looked back at Akaza's eyes.

"I- " He tried to say.

Akaza smiled, he knows how Gyutaro is, so he stays patient.

Gyutaro's shoulders dropped, and he look defeated.

"Is Daki okay?"

Akaza's smile slightly dropped.

"I have to go out, to get more medicine."

Gyutaro's body quickly moved.

"Wait- you'll need help right?"

As if to mock him, the stack of boxes began to tumble.

Akaza laughed after catching the boxes.

"I think you should help your sister, I'm plenty capable on my own. " Akaza patted Gyutaro's shoulder.

"It's my role as a protector, to not let others weaker than me in danger." It was ironic Akaza felt the need to protect Gyutaro.
'I should be the one protecting you. Why must I be so weak?"

Although Gyutaro looked annoyed, he felt flustered.

"Oh- your heart is beating rapidly! Are you okay?" Akaza asked worried.

"Yeah," Gyutaro said, still flustered.
He looked as red as a tomato.

Akaza looked at Gyutaro. He sighed.

"Your so strong Gyutaro! Soon you're going to become something great."

Gyutaro smiled slightly, though he was used to the praises Akaza says.
It almost felt like, he only said it, out of pity.

'Once the sun goes away, the little demons come out to play.'

That's what the little blue-haired boy always knew.

And that's why, when he goes out at night, he wears the head of a boar.

'Inosuke!' A haunting voice spoke to him.
It sounded frantic.

"Inosuke!"

The boy breathed through his mask.
"What's wrong?" He asked.

"You weren't responding! You freaked me out!" A brown-haired boy poked his mask.

"How do you keep your eyes open for that long?" He asked. His bright blue eyes stared at his mask.

"I've trained my eyes to stay open! I need to be aware at all times!" He then tackled the boy.
