"dadd are we there yet?" matthew said as his father drove.

"matthew, that's the 6th time! not yet, almost."

his mom laughed and smiled.

"what do you even want again? all your asking made me forget.." his mother jokingly asked, placing a finger on her chin, acting like she was thinking.

matthew pouts, crossing his arms.
"hey! i want my gummy bears. we are buying some right?"

"yes, yes we are," his parents said in unison, smiling.

matthew kicked his feet and giggled, excited at the thought of more gummy bears that he'd be having soon.

"yay!"

"what the. this guy's driving is weird.." his suspicions were right. "HEY HEY." he honked and swerved right.

the three screamed, a car crashed right into them, the collision was direct and made matthew's family car tip and it crashed into a street pole. the air bag did nothing because of it since the door was opened from the hit.

the next second, it was blurry and his head hurt badly. the blurriness was gone, and all he saw, was that he was out of the car, on the ground in a pool of red. glass had pierced his skin, his head was hit on the side of the car, and a part had scratched a huge mark on his arm, blood dripping. it would surely leave a scar.

he couldnt think about that though, not with the sight of his mother and father, with dull eyes, parts of the car piercing them. oh, he heard sirens and lots of screaming.

"mom.. dad.." he reached out to them.

"ma..tthew.. we're sorry, pl..ease.. protect yourself and live.." his mother reached out her hand and matthew took it, tears streaming down. he felt his mother's hand go weak. it was the scariest feeling for the young matthew.

"no please.. stop! mom, dad!!" he cried out.

the burning smell of smoke, the metallic irony smell of blood, the vibrant red that painted the ground and matthew's arms, loud noise of the car alarm and sirens of police cars and ambulances, all attacked his senses. it was overwhelming, and his head was pounding. it hurt so much, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

it was too much. he wanted to cry and shout. it just dawned on him that now, his mom and dad left the world, and left him. he would be alone.

the two people he loved the most, gone just like that.

"mom, dad!!" he cried harder.

his eyes shot open, his face wet from tears. he heard the sound of his alarm, ah it was because he had to go out with ricky.

"fuck."

he wiped the tears and had a shaky sigh. in fact, his whole body was shaking as he swiped his phone, turning off the alarm.

"why that memory as my dream. why." he hid his face in his arms.

"i did not want to be reminded of that."

after a bit, he stabilized his breathing and his body stopped shaking.

"im okay," the male said firmly and exhaled.

he got up and made his bed. he had plans for the day, to go with ricky who'd be buying clothes for matthew in the store in which ricky's family owned. amazing.

the taller blond kept insisting to buy and pick out matthew's work clothes. he couldn't turn him down.

matthew freshened up and he put on a brown t-shirt with yellow and pink lettering, then paired it with black pants.
