for the rest of the day chris was acting strange. he didn't say much and he mostly just stared off into space.
i started growing irritated after an hour.
"are you okay? you're very quiet." i mention to the boy in front of me, he looks at me for a long while. he's been doing it all day and i can't figure out why.
"me? oh um, yeah i'm fine." he nods, his eyes shifting around the outside area. i huff, "no you're not. you never did tell me why we needed to take a walk earlier, why don't you start by telling me about that?"
"it's not important." he shakes his head, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "yes it is, chris, you weren't acting like this earlier."
"i'm acting normal." he shrugs.
"ever since we watched the movie..."
"it has nothing to do with the movie." he reassures me.
"i know. what? did you think i thought you had a bet with one of your friends to take me out just like patrick did with kat?" i shake my head while chuckling. "you wouldn't do that, i know you."
