Murdoc got arrested and his annoying old friend Ace is reccomended to take his place as bassist. Meanwhile 2D is acting extremely bossy and rude, taking over 'leader' role. He writes his own album without getting help from the others, which is usually how Gorillaz writes their album, a collaborative effort, but he's closed himself off and has a big ego. Noodle bonds with Ace, but Russel doesn't trust him. Later, Murdoc is presumed dead and goes missing. Noodle heads off to find him.
