They had a delightful time at the park. After returning home, Scarlett tucked Ava into bed, reading her a bedtime story and giving her a goodnight kiss. Both drifted off to sleep, feeling grateful for their special bond.

SCARLETT'S POV

As I woke up in the morning, I felt a sense of joy and love seeing my daughter sleeping peacefully beside me. I gently brushed the hair away from Ava's face and planted a soft kiss on her forehead, feeling grateful for the precious moments we shared.

After ensuring Ava was awake and ready, I made breakfast for both of us, filling the house with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm pancakes. Once we finished our meal, I kissed Ava goodbye and headed to the cafe, excited to open for the day. Ava was mature for her age and I left her at home most times to draw as she was in love with colors, I always came to check up on her. It's a good thing our house was in the same building as the cafe.

When I got down two of my employees were already cleaning and getting ready to open the cafe. "Good morning Scar" Sophia one of my employees I was close to and usually left to look after Ava greeted. "Hi, Sophie," I said going through the accounting book for the cafe.

A few minutes later a customer came in. "Hi good morning and welcome, what would you like to order" I heard Sophie say.

"I'll have your special with chocolate cake," he said. I couldn't see his face because he was backing me. I began to prepare his order. We had a unique special called the "Scarlett's Sunrise Delight." was a refreshing blend of freshly squeezed orange juice, tangy passion fruit, and a hint of mint, served over ice. This special drink was the perfect way to start the day and I've gotten a lot of compliments from my customers for the special drink.

I prepared the drink and placed a slice of cake on a small plate accompanied by a fork. And placed on a tray which I handed over to Ethan who was a barista in my cafe. I liked him because he was professional and he caught the eyes of many young ladies that often came to our cafe.

Sophia kept bringing orders for me to prepare which I did delightfully.

"Hey, Scarlett! How's it going? I heard a man say, I looked up at him smiling professionally, he was the man from yesterday that had coffee spilled on him.

"I'm good thanks for asking" I replied continuing with what I was doing.

With a grateful smile, he exclaimed, "Wow, Scarlett! This coffee and cake are amazing! You've truly mastered the art of creating delicious treats. I'm so glad I came here!"

"I'm glad you love it," I said smiling at him

"I heard through some people that your cafe serves the most delectable pastries in town. I'm a huge fan of sweet treats, and I've been dying to try your famous chocolate croissants. The thought of that flaky, buttery goodness paired with rich, velvety chocolate is making my mouth water" he said putting his hands in his pockets and resting on the counter.

"Oh, you have impeccable taste! Our chocolate croissants are a crowd favorite. I'd be thrilled to have you visit my cafe again and I'll treat you to one of our freshly baked delights" I said smiling delightfully

"When can I come around to try it then," he said determined

"Monday morning would be perfect," I said making an okay sign with my finger and he laughed

"I can already imagine the heavenly aroma of freshly baked croissants and the cozy atmosphere of your cafe. Count me in, Scarlett! Looking forward to experiencing your culinary delights firsthand. See you on Monday by the way I'm Alexander Blackwood" he said as he was leaving.

My eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and delight. I couldn't help but be intrigued by his charming and confident demeanor. I appreciated his genuine interest in my cafe.
But what was Alexander Blackwood the most eligible bachelor of NYC doing in my cafe? I didn't see him as someone who would want to eat in a place like this, I mean this is where most of his workers from the company grab breakfast before work.

From behind, his appearance showcases a stylish and well-groomed look. His hair is neatly styled, and his outfit reflects a sense of fashion and attention to detail. As he walks, his confident posture and relaxed movements exude a sense of self-assurance and charisma.

I focused on the work at the cafe. We were having an event at the cafe the next week, a young man booked the cafe for the whole night to propose to his girlfriend. It was going to be a very busy day so I had to make sure there was no work left over. I checked up on Ava a few times, she also stayed with me a bit at the cafe before going back to take a nap.

THIRD PERSON POV

At the end of the day, Scarlett was tired but content. Her face reflects a mix of satisfaction and weariness, with a hint of a smile. Her apron is covered in flour and coffee stains, showcasing the hard work she put into running her cafe. Despite the fatigue, her eyes still hold a spark of passion and determination, a testament to her love for what she does.

When Scarlett arrives home, she is greeted with the joyful energy of her 3-year-old daughter. Despite her tiredness, a smile lights up Scarlett's face as she scoops her daughter into a warm embrace. The fatigue melts away as she spends precious moments playing, laughing, and bonding with her little one. Together, they create a cozy and loving atmosphere, filling the house with the sound of their laughter and the warmth of their connection.
