Carefully navigating the twists and turns of the hollow tree, the fox's heart raced as it emerged into a realm of dazzling brilliance. The explosion of light stunned its eyes, causing a startled whimper to escape its muzzle.

"Well, that was unexpected," the fox muttered, squinting against the brilliance. With cautious optimism, it gingerly opened its eyes, a mixture of wonder and bewilderment painting its expression. From where its paws should have been, delicate hands now extended. "Well, I'll be darned," the fox marveled in a hushed and awed whisper.

Turning its attention to the dragon that had accompanied it, the fox's voice rang out in puzzled curiosity, "Why didn't you change like I did?"

The dragon's response came with a calm and composed demeanor, "The magic of this place can't shape-shift me. I remain unchanged, untouched by its enchantment."

A perplexed crease formed on the fox's brow as it retorted, "So, you brought me here just to show off this place?"

The dragon's gaze met the fox's with an air of mystery, "Not merely to show off. I wanted you to witness this hidden world."

"Right," the fox muttered, a hint of skepticism in its tone. "So, how do I get back now?"

A glint of playful amusement danced in the dragon's eyes as it offered two choices, "You can trace your steps back through the hollow tree or venture into the lake over there, swimming in the direction indicated." One massive paw lifted gracefully, pointing toward the glistening waters. "You'll emerge by the waterfall in the lake."

"Got it," the fox nodded, still puzzled. "Hey, one more thing. Can you change your appearance?"

A chuckle rumbled from the dragon's throat, a sound that seemed to resonate with ancient wisdom. "Curious, aren't you?"

Encouraged by the response, the fox pressed on, "So, can you?"

The dragon's eyes sparkled with good-humored consent, "Very well." Its form began to shift and twist, scales and body contorting until it stood before the fox in the form of a human.

A mischievous grin tugged at the fox's lips, "Well, well. Who would've thought beneath all those brown scales was a handsome man?"

A modest smile curved on the transformed dragon's lips, "Flattery will get you far."

The fox's grin widened, mischief dancing in its eyes. "Just don't let it get to your head."

A soft chuckle, rich and melodious, resonated from the dragon's chest. It was a sound that seemed to blend harmoniously with the magical ambiance of their enchanting encounter.

"So..what now?" the curious fox inquired, its eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Whatever you want," Rex Lapis replied, his tone simple yet tinged with an air of mystery.

Childe's grin widened into a mischievous smile as he took a step closer to the serene lake, his anticipation palpable. With a sudden burst of energy, he leaped into the water, creating a graceful arc before his body met the cool embrace of the lake. He swam with an easy grace, the ripples of his movements intertwining with the moonlit reflections on the water's surface. "This feels different. A lot different," he exulted, his voice carrying a mixture of wonder and exhilaration. His gaze remained fixed on the god standing at the shore.

Rex Lapis watched the scene unfold with a faint, knowing smile. The night's tranquility seemed to amplify the magical atmosphere as Childe continued to revel in the water. "Won't you come, Mr. Rex Lapis?" the fox teased, its voice playfully taunting.

A sweet smile graced Rex Lapis' lips as he responded, "Ah, I am not a big fan of water." His voice held a hint of amusement, as if he was sharing a personal secret. "It is quite cold," he added, the corner of his eye catching the fox's every move.
