Legends: The Sleep

Chapter 2- Kloe

At dinner, I noticed Jeremy's several failed attempts to please David, and that's understandable that man is the hardest to please, "So what do you do for a living?" Jacob asked. " Well, i work for a very special organization and my department mostly it tracks down very valuable people for the organization" Jeremy said, and for the first time since dinner started Jeremy directed his eyes at me, and i nust say i didn't like the stare i was given
After dinner I helped Sandy do the dishes and Jeremy offered to help, so Sandy left us to it
"Kloe right?" He asked, I nodded. "I habe been looking forward to meetong you for a long time" He said, "what do you mean?" I asked, "soon you will find out." He said, his simple yet subtle threat chilled my spine, the voice he used in his sentence unlike anything i've ever heard this entire night from him, when i looked up instead of the boring brown eyes, i looked up to see a piercing pair of silver eyes, tgat i felt could look into my soul, then Sandy walked in "Jeremy you're such a peach thank you for helping with the dishes, Claire is waiting for you down the hall" she said, and Jeremy's eyes turned back to brown "why thank you ms.Miller, it was lovely to see where you all live" Jeremy said, once again his words feeling like a threat.
"I don't like him" I told Sandy, " You better not let your sister hear that" she said and chuckled then we went on with doing the dishes

Later on that night I couldn't get any sleep, I tossed and turned all night long, when i finally did get some sleep i decided to stay home from school. I was plagued by nightmares so much that i was scared to sleep again after each jolt from a nightmare

The next day, Sandy had no choice but to ket me stay in because she found out too late that i was still in the house, her and David left for work in the evening, Lizzy was having a sleepover, Claire was at creepy Jeremy's, Jacob was at his girlfriend's house, meaning i had the house to myself for the entirety of the night

I binge watched "Suits" on Netflix abd basically ate everything there was in the fridge. Everyyhing was normal until I heard glass shatter in the kitchen, nobody was supposed to be home at that hour so i got up to investigate what the hell was going on

The lights were off in the house, the only light emitting from my dimmed laptop screen, as i creeped closer the most horrific thing jumped on me, i hit the creature with my elbow landing it on the ground, i got up on my feet and grabbed the closest possible thing that could really do some damage, it was a hammer that David left out, i slammed the creature on its horrific head as hard as i could but yet the creature still wouldn't die.

I bolted out of the house with nothing on but a sports bra and pyjama pants, i ran as fast as i could but whatever that thing was, it could really run, i bolted and made absolutely random turns in an attempt to lose the creature but with no avail.

I kept on ruunning wishing i was as fast as a vampire or something, anything to get me away from that slender man looking creature, suddenly my legs were faster and i was probably faster than light in that instance

I could see my surroundings drastically change, whrn i finally looked back nothing was chasing me again so i finally stopped running

Out of breath, i took a look around where i was, this was definetly not anywhere close to home, i was most definitely in the middle of nowhere, i was in the middle of the woods in God knows where, but i knew i had to get out of here, i had been running with no shoes, my feet covered in cuts and bruises making it painful to walk, but i had to suck it up to get to anywhere with civilization

After what felt like hours of walking i could see a gas station i quickly walked up to it praying that there was a phone or something

When i opened the door, a strong smell of weed hit me so hard it was difficult to breathe, on the counter there was a guy who looke not more than three years my senior, he looked arabic.

I walked up to him," um hey, is there a phobe i could borrow?" I said, He finally looked up, his hazel eyes analyzing my appearance, "Lost?" He asks and i nod, he handed me his phone and i quickly dialed Sandy's number, the dialing tone testing my patience, "hello?" Sandy's voice sounds throught the phone, " Sandy, it's Kloe" i panted on the phone, " WHERE THE HELL HAS YOUR ASS BEEN?!, DAVID AND I WERE WORRIED YOU RAN AWAY, and you left the house a MESS" she boomed on the phone, the gas station guy snickers and i shoot him a glare "Listen to me, i don't think i'll be back soon" i tell her " You're leaving us?" Sandy sniffles on the other end, " No i mean i don't know where i am" i say, " Why'd u run anyway, and don't say you didn't cause your phone's here" Sandy says, "i don't  have time to explain there are some thing's i need to work on before i come back, i'm sorry and i love all of you" i say then rushily hang up,
"So how the hell did you end up here" the guy asks as i give him back his phone, " i was chased by slenderman" i say hoping that he'll take it as a joke, instead the guy laughs uncomfortably and asks again," seriously why though?" He asks, i just stared at him, "oh, oh, oooooh hell nooo" he cried, " mamaaaaa" he cries once more, and a middle eastern lady around Sandy's age walks in, "What, you stupid donkey?" She says in a very string middle eastern accent, the mom and her son have a conversation in arabic, the mom's eyes widening at the end of their conversation.

"I'm gonna go now, bye" i said trying to get out of this family and tge increasingly creepy gas station, " No wait," the woman says, " I'm Khadija and this is my son Quadir, we can help, if you let us,"  she says, i blankly stare at them, but at this point i could accept help from a crackhead if they offered.

So I sigh and tell them the full story about everything that has been going on.
