Arc 9: Sword of Light

In the penultimate arc of this cancelled story idea, the Autobots would haven taken a trip to Tokyo, Japan to visit one of Professor Sumdac's old college buddies Mr. Wyatt who lives there (I based this character on the late Derrick J Wyatt, and I planned to cast him as this character prior to his untimely passing. he would have also broken the fourth wall)

(the loss of Derrick J. Wyatt was another reason why I scrapped this series, as I felt like some of my planned storylines would have besmirched his legacy, I will go more into detail on the page detailing why I discarded the whole thing)

This arc would have followed the Autobots goofing around in Tokyo including Sunstreaker and Sideswipe challenging a bunch of Japanese street racers to a drift race, along with Sari and Lance bonding during their time in Tokyo including a fashion montage with the two Techno-organics trying on different outfits (many of which are easter eggs referencing various anime characters, like Sari dressing as Sailor moon or Lance dressing as Sasuke from Naruto), this is where we get Sari and Lance in their casual clothes for the first time. we also get Sari dressing up little Leah in an adorable Geisha girl outfit (not pictured) by this point in the story Sari and Lance are openly dating, and have gotten the hang of being teen parents to the now one-year-old Leah Sumdac.

The Autobots during their time in Japan meanwhile have a run-in with a trio of Decepticons, the Master of Metallikato Bludgeon (and old rival of the late Master Yoketron who gave him his scars) and his two students Deadlock and Nightbird, the trio are after a Cybertronian relic located in the mountains of Japan known as the Sword of Light, of which was the sword that belonged to Master Yoketron leading to Team Prime fighting the Decepticon ninja trio over the sword, Optimus duking it out with Bludgeon while in the Powermaster armor. the Ghost of Prowl is also aware of this, but can't bring himself to stop them due to being a ghost. Prowl's ghost tries possessing Deadlock and makes him attack Bludgeon and Nightbird, much to the confusion of the Autobots. Deadlock is confused as to what happened, but Bludgeon gets angry and banishes Deadlock from the Decepticons disgracing his student stripping him of his title. Deadlock spends his time in exile in a cave, inside said cave he comes across the sword of light.

As a side effect of being possessed, Deadlock gains the ability to see and hear the ghost of Prowl while others cannot. Prowl's ghost ends up taking Deadlock under his wing as his student, passing his master Yoketron's teaching onto the next generation. the student has now become the master, teaching Deadlock about the beauty of nature and processor over matter. Deadlock realizes he was fighting on the wrong side this entire time. Bludgeon and Nightbird end up coming for the Sword of Light and Bludgeon tries to pull the sword out of its pedestal, but can't because the sword rejects him. however Deadlock is able to pull the sword out showing that he is worthy thanks to Prowl's ghost showing him the light. the cybertronian runes on the Sword of Light glow Allspark blue and an aura surrounds Deadlock, inverting his old Black-and-gold color scheme into a White-and-red one with the kanji for "Samurai" on his car doors. Deadlock forsakes his Decepticon, now calling himself "Drift" as he fights for the Autobots now, Drift basically becoming a Stand user for Prowl's ghost (you're welcome JoJo fans) during his fight with Bludgeon. Drift defeats Bludgeon, and Bludgeon begs for Drift to kill him. but Drift chooses to spare his former master's life, saying that if he offlined Bludgeon he would be no better than him. the mark of a true Samurai (yes I understand that Ninja and Samurai are not the same thing but still) Optimus welcomes Drift into Team Prime with open arms, but Drift chooses to walk the path of the warrior and chooses to travel alone.
