(Warning for A LOT of timeskips which is extremely annoying)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 itself deep in the panthers cold flesh.

Zae was lying down on the ground with the dead panther on top of her - with her knife between its eyes. But not before it had buried its teeth in her forearm. She grunted in a low hum, pushing the panther off her with her free hand, pulling out the knife from its head in the act.

"Oh my God", Clarke gasped, far away but quickly closening up. "Are you okay?"

As the freckled girl sat up, she looked down at her arm - with four bloody holes poked through. But, did it look like she was okay?

"We gotta get back soon before it gets infected", the blonde pointed out.

By this point, Finn and Murphy had cut down the vines, Jasper was on the ground.

Now, all that was left was to get back to camp.

The campfire was big. It could've burned down the entire forest. But it didn't.

The delinquents were removing their wristbands for food. And Zae watched. Idiots. They really were suicidal, weren't they?

Clarke had patched up Zae's arm, the bloody holes were covered in white cloth, which she had used as bandage. Jasper was on the top floor, unconscious and ready to be taken care of by Clarke - or die.

Finn walked up to the campfire, which was surrounded by meatsticks - the panther. Murphy stopped him from taking a meatstick. Finn said something, making the other boy look like he stopped working, then taking two meatsticks, one for him, one for Clarke. Zae wondered for a second if she also was gonna take one and risk getting in a fight. Bellamy just knocked down a boy for wanting to do the same thing as Finn. But she'd went days without food before. Eh.

She sighed. Why, she didn't know. Maybe it's just because of the non-pleasant situation down on Earth. She needed food. She knew that she did. She's the one who killed the panther. They all would be hungry tonight if it wasn't for her.

With quiet footsteps and shaky legs, Zae made her way toward the campfire, to the spot where the meatsticks hung in the air. She thrusted her hands into the pockets of her jacket, but when she closened up on the campfire, she took them out again.

Just as her fingers wrapped around one of the sticks, pulling it out from the earthy ground, someone's hand grasped onto her wrist, twisting it, causing the meatstick to fall out of her hand, to the ground. Way to waste food.

Bellamy glared down at her as she tried to pull away, only for the grip to harden a lot more.

"You think someone like you deserves to eat?"

His sharp words scarred through her like lightning, forcing her to be reminded of what she did.

Just as she braced herself for getting knocked down, a third person appeared next to them.
