Rob

I had Katy side-saddled on my leg.

I had my right arm around her to make sure she didn't fall off.

Flicka was trotting next to me.

Gus had washed her off in the lake.

Howard opened the front door.

Jack pulled Flicka with him to the barn.

I walked in the house.

Nell walked in behind me.

He was back from the cave.

"Is she alright?" Gus questioned.

Katy shuddered in my arms as I neared the stairs.

"Go help Jack put that horse in a stall." I ordered him.

Gus hurried out of the house.

I walked up the stairs with her in my arms.

She was behind me.

I had kicked Howard out of Katy's room.

Nell slid a white shirt over her head.

Katy groaned as we pulled black sweatpants up her legs.

"Sorry, baby." Nell apologized to her.

I laid Katy in her bed.

Nell

I was on the phone with the Doctor in the Kitchen.

Howard was in the Kitchen getting ice for Katy.

"A hundred and twenty-two."

"Is it accurate?"

"I don't know if it's accurate. It's an old thermometer."

He looked back at me.

"No."

I pulled the phone away from my ear.

"The Doctor can't land in the storm." I informed Howard.

I walked out of the Kitchen.

I had the phone to my ear.

"So... No. So, we'll wait."

I rested my hand on the front door window.

I had my back against the front door.

I sniffled.

"Okay. What do I look for?"

Rob

Nell managed to get the thermometer under Katy's tongue to take her temperature again.

She pulled it out from underneath her tongue when it beeped.

"A hundred and twenty-five."

Howard looked at it.

"Can that be right?" Nell questioned.

Katy was tossing and turning her head.

"Howard, get some more ice, son." I ordered him.

Howard headed out of her room to get more ice.

"Flicka!" Katy called.

She continued tossing and turning her head.

"Flicka!" Katy called again.

She stopped tossing and turning her head.

Later

I was wiping Katy's forehead with a wet washcloth to try to bring her fever down.
