Naming

That was weird, the Direwolf leader just fell to the ground mid-jump like an invisible force pushed it to the ground. Shiro wasn't around so it couldn't have been her, and all the goblins aren't powerful enough to cause such an occurrence, meaning it was a 3rd party. I'll have to investigate later.

Anyway, after the leader died, I performed a show of strength against the Direwolves and they submitted to me. Meaning that they have integrated into the village. This means that we currently have insufficient housing for all the new residents of the village. The first order of business is to set up broad rules for the Goblins, Direwolves, and any future residents to abide by. I should probably talk these rules over with Shiro as someone with a great deal more experience in other worlds to have a better sense of common sense.

"Ok, first things first, Goblins and Direwolves pair up. One Goblin per Direwolf and vice versa. Kinda like me and Shiro."

They then paired up and as I was deciding on what to do next, a thought hit me. I don't know any of the Goblins' or Direwolves' names. They might not have ever said them. I should ask. Man is it just me, or am I asking a lot of questions or what?

"Yo, Elder, Do you have names or what?"

"Well it is very unusual for Monsters to have names, but even without names we can still communicate our thoughts to one another."

"I see... Well, it would be easier if y'all had names. So if it's ok with you I'm gonna give you all some."

The gathered monsters collectively gasped. "Wait are you sure?"

"Uuh yeah?"

The group cheered and chattered like they had just won the lottery.

After I spent some time naming Shiro suddenly appeared out of thin air next to me, picked me up, and stared at me. once she was staring at me long enough to make me uncomfortable she spoke, "Keep... Eye... on... Magic..." She then put me on her spider head and gave me a head pat.

After considering what she said I realized that I was getting a little drowsy. So I asked for clarification. "Hey it's cool and all that you care about me but why should I pay attention to my Magicule level?"

After an awkward silence slightly shorter than the last, she answered, "MP... decreasing... quickly..."

MP? As in magic power, oh she must have a skill to track my level of Magicules, so she's worried about me because I'm using them all up at an alarming rate. How selfless of her.

"Cool, thanks for telling me that I was low, I can't check on my Magicule level by myself, so in the future can you please tell me when I get low on magic?" I am a little embarrassed that I have to rely on someone else for the well-being of my own body.

She nodes. "Small... break." She starts stroking the top of my head.

"Oh and what do think about adding laws to the village?"

She thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

"So the first thing I was thinking is that we should promote cooperation between races. Like between us. I already took the liberty of pairing them up to solve the housing issue. As for the actual rule, I was thinking it should go along the lines of 'No belittling other races' as long with a rule to stop them from fighting among themselves."

Shiro nodded almost immediately.

"The next rule I was thinking of making is something stopping them from attacking humans. Do you think that's a good idea?"

Shiro thought while unconsciously stroking the top of my head. Then spoke, "Some... Exceptions."

"Like what?"

"Humans attack," she stated.

Shiro is probably more experienced with this kind of stuff so I trust her decision.

After a long break, I continued naming the Goblins and Direworlves. By the time I was done naming them it was dark, and seeing as neither I nor Shiro needed we just talked about the potential problems of running a nation, such as who will be governing the different races, seeing as they would have different needs. Well, I lied, It was mostly me, Shiro just listened and mentioned potential problems with my solutions. I noticed that she has been talking more lately, especially around me.

Once morning arrived Shiro carried me out of the hut we were using as shelter from the elements and I called for everyone to gather in the village center. But as they started gathering together I noticed something different about the Goblins and Direwolves. For one all the Goblins are SUPPER SEXY and I'm pretty sure the wolves got a little bigger especially Ranga.

"Alright first, I want to establish a few rules for all of you to follow. Rule number 1: No fighting Humans unless given good reason to. Rule number 2: No fighting among yourselves. And number 3: No belittling other races. Does anyone have any questions?"

A hand raised up. "Yes, Rigur!"

"Why aren't we allowed to attack Humans?"

"Good question! There are two reasons why I don't want you fighting without reason. first is, that I like them, and second is that it will be beneficial to cooperate with Humans. Any other questions?"

Gobta raised his hand, "Yes, Gobta!"

"What classifies as a good reason to fight Humans?"

"Another good question. There are multiple reasons but they mostly boil down to hostile intent against us. Such as espionage, breaking the law, and conspiring to damage people or objects of high value like buildings and the like."

"Now are there any other questions?" Nobody raised their hand. After waiting a sufficient amount of time for anyone to ask questions they suddenly think up. I started diving up tasks to fulfill our basic needs such as food, clothes, and shelter.

Food wasn't a problem as we had plenty of food stockpiled after Shiro dumped a bunch of food in the village center, but I still assigned hunters and gatherers for when food runs out. But we lack cooks to make the food taste good.

Clothes can be solved if Shiro used her silk to create clothing.

Meaning the only real problem that we face is Shelter. The group I assigned to construction wasn't doing too hot. And if this village is to grow, we need reliable shelter, which we aren't currently getting. I asked Rigurd about it and he said that the village often triads with Dwarfs. Meaning if we can persuade some Dwarfs to come to our village we can teach our people how to build shelter and use their general knowledge of cooking to create good food. Meaning that we needed to set out north, to the nation of Dwargon.
