I can feel the warmth of his body. From my forehead down to the half of my left cheek. I can smell his familiar scent that has gone for so long but remains the same.

"Ehem." Someone faked a cough. "Ehem." Then did it again.

For a moment, I thought I was having a weird dream. I opened my eyes and saw Yuri who just woke up too. He's a few inches away from me, but I'm using his forearm as a pillow.

"Excuse me, Ma'am and Sir. I think my organs have been compressed."

Yuri and I bulged our eyes at the same time when Hiko spoke.

"Mr. Suarez!" Hiko exclaimed in worry.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

He was already holding his back when he shook his head. "I think I broke my spinal cord."

"Hold me. I'll help you." Hiko offered his hand. He probably had a good dream to have this mood. "Mommy gives the best back massage. Maybe you didn't break your spinal cord, your back just needs some magic to alleviate the pain."

"When did you even believe in magic and not in scientific explanation, Hiko?" I asked.

"If it's you, Mommy. There's no need for a scientific explanation. You make the impossible possible." He giggled. "Do you think you can give Yuri a back massage?"

"Me?" Itinuro ko ang sarili.

Hiko nodded. "I think you're the one who took the most bed space, Mommy."

I looked at Yuri. "He looks fine though. Maybe he was just starting—"

The Hiko I know will suspect the man, not endorse him to me.

"Don't worry, Mommy. I'll make us sandwiches while you massage, Yuri." He patted my back before leaving the bed.

I held my waist.

"What could I have done? I was already sleepy."

I rolled my eyes.

"You sound like complaining, but you enjoyed sleeping on my arm."

I arched a brow. "Who told you to put your arm under my head? No one. It was your choice, don't blame me."

He rolled his eyes too. "Will you massage me?"

"What?"

"My back."

"Come on, Suarez. This bed is just five inches tall." Of course, it's not.

He grimaced. "Multiply by five, De Morga."

"Tumayo ka na nga."

"A-Ah. Hiko . . . Your Mommy doesn't want to—"

"Shhh." Inilapat niya ang daliri sa labi. "No cursing."
