Twenty Six: Dark Samus' Rematch

Third Person POV:

Monday, November 9th

The Fighter Ranked Students are all in the gymnasium, getting ready to do their trails for the Annual Tournament. Principal Mishima enters and starts his announcement. "As all of you are aware, Thanksgiving Week is upon us within the week after the next. But following that will be the last few weeks of practice in the High School. After Winter Break is when the High School Reunion party will also begin. So expect the gymnasium to be packed. And after that in March is the official beginning of the Tournament." He pauses giving the students a chance to communicate to each other about the tournament briefly.

"The Trials will last for two weeks. Week One will have the following matches: MK vs Dark Samus, Rob vs Lucario, Lucina vs Cloud, and finally Roy vs Joker." He stops speaking again. Rob laughs, "Another victory is in my sights again!" "I don't think that's the case this time. I feel like something different will happen this year." Lucario speaks to Rob. "Oh please! No one is strong enough to stand up against me!" He boosts his ego with a maniacal smile. Roy looks at Ren, "Remember the Sauna..." Ren gulps and blushes. "H-hey we can talk this out..." Cloud cracks his knuckles, "Ready Lucina?" He asks her, "Ready whenever you are Cloud!" She fires back. "Finally..." Dark Samus snarls and gives MK a death stare. MK however wasn't phased.

Principal Mishima continues, "As for Week Two: Link vs Pythra, Zelda vs Dark Pit, Sora vs Inkling Twins, and finally Pit vs Sonic." Link and Pythra stare at each other, "BRING IT ON!" They yelled to each other. Zelda looks at her friends sparking up another friendly rivalry, "I remember when they first started their friendly rivalry. How about you Dark Pit?" She asks him. "As much as me and Lucina are on good terms now, our rivalry back in Freshman Year was no where close to friendly..." he looks down. The Inkling Twins, Orange and Blue, spoke to Sora, "Hey Sora, is it really considered as a fair fight that you have to fight both of us?" "I mean Link is going to fight with Pythra. Even though it's just one body she still hosts three different personalities. So I would consider this as a fair fight." Sora replies. Pit and Sonic stretched their legs, "Ready?" Pit asks him. "Ready as ever!"

"Now," Principal Mishima speaks again, "MK, Dark Samus, rise up and enter the stage!" They both stood up from their seats and walked their way down to the stage. MK summons his Galaxia and Dark Samus summons her Phazon Cannon. "Week Two contenders, you are all free to leave as this week we're focusing on only the 'Week One' contenders. But unless you want to stay and watch then you are welcomed to stay." Sonic, Pit, Dark Pit, and the Inkling Twins left. "Anyone else?" He asks and everyone stayed in their seats. "Excellent. Now, we shall start the-" "Principle Mishima, do you copy?" The walkie talkie blared out, "Eh?" He answers it, "I copy. Is there anything wrong Erdrick?" "Master Hand is here! He wants to speak to you!" "Master Hand, the Master Hand here?!" "Yes sir! He wants to talk to you!" Erdrick replies and Principal Mishima looks at the bleachers. "Cloud Strife, you are tasked to start their fight and tell me the results! I got some business to do." He orders Cloud.

"Yes Principal!" Cloud gets up as Kazuya leaves. "Dark Samus, MK, you both may begin now!" Cloud shouts.

The stage around them begins to take shape and the KO Barriers rises up around them as well.

Both MK and Dark Samus stared down at each other. "I'M NOT LETTING YOU GET AWAY WITH CUTTING MY EYE THIS TIME!" Dark Samus shouts at MK as they both charged at each other with their weapons. MK makes the first swipe at her chest knocking her back. "You got this MK!" Lucina cheers out for him. Rob stands up from his seat, "KEEP HIM AT HIS TOES AND DON'T GIVE HIM A BREAK!"

Dark Samus fires her cannon as MK tries his best to dodge each blast. He uses his 'Drill Rush' to take Dark Samus to the other side of the stage. "GET OFF OF ME NOW!" She kicks him away from herself. Rob leaves from the bleachers and out of the gym. As he steps away from the gym, thoughts rushed through his mind, "Better find that Susie girl right now. Just hope Dark Samus is still going through with the plan..." As he disappears from the scene Dark Samus unleashed a powerful blast nearly taking MK's first stock. "How are you not down yet?!" She growls as he struggles to get back up. "MK are you okay?" Roy asks him. MK turns around and shakes his head. Ren gasps, "MK WATCH OUT!" MK turned too late as Dark Samus punches him off the stage and into the KO Barrier. "Finally..." she lets out a sigh of relief as she takes his first 'Stock'. MK returns to the stage adjusting his shoulders.
