Thirty Six: MK vs Pythra {Part 2}

Third Person POV:

As Pythra was waiting for MK to return Cloud speaks out to her, "So you said you were going to go easy on him, right?" "Correct. I've noticed that I was going a little too overboard fighting with him." She looks back at the doorway. "So for the next two matches, I'm not going all out like I just did earlier. Just hopefully he wins the next two rounds as well."

The doors opened and walking out of them was Roy, Ren, and MK. "I accept your challenge Pythra." He tells her. "Excellent." The rest of the group got away from them as Terry sets up the barrier, "Alright kids, continuation of the best of five continues. May the best fighter win..." Pythra and MK quickly summoned their weapons. Terry starts the countdown, "Three... Two... One... GO!"

Pythra immediately lands a 'Dash Attack' on him. He retaliates with both a kick and a 'Forward Tilt'. "Not a bad start huh?" Pythra asks MK. "Yeah, hopefully it stays like this momentarily." He replies back at her. She strikes him with her 'Up Tilt' and 'Mythra' immediately takes control of the body. "DO YOUR WORST!" She shouts as MK kicks her again. They continued to exchange their attacks towards each other.

As they were fighting Roy points something out, "It seems like she's fighting at his own level." "What do you mean?" Ren asks. "Well she isn't as aggressive as we all saw earlier. She is rather fighting at his own level. Meaning-" Cloud cuts Roy off mid sentence, "She did say she's giving him a fighting chance. And that chance is now."

MK pins Pythra to the barrier with a 'Drill Rush'. Once she recovers and makes a counterattack with 'Photon Edge'. She tries to juggle him in the air again but fails to keep up the momentum. He unleashes a fury of slashes and follows it up with him teleporting and landing a powerful hit. Just not powerful enough to send her crashing through the barrier. As she was in the air he tried to land a 'Aerial Loop'. "NICE TRY! RAY OF PUNISHMENT!" Pythra shouts as her attack lands. Their battle only became more tense as they're basically at equal 'Death Strike'. 'True' Pythra appears, "Mythra as much fighting spirit you have, you're just not as strong as Pyra! Let me show you how it's done! Give me your powers Fire Girl!" Pythra connects a 'Dash Attack' taking MK's first stock. "I got him out!" Pythra cheers. She turns around and approaches MK as he returns to the stage. "Awwww is someone a little grump about losing a stock?" Pythra taunts him. MK replies, "Not when you're this dangerously close to me!" "Wait, what-" MK strikes a 'Forward Smash'. "AAAAAA-" Pythra was sent flying and crashing through the barrier.

Roy and Ren cheered on for MK. "YOU GOT THIS MK!" "STAY FOCUSED ON THE FIGHT!" They all watched as MK lands another 'Forward Smash' and kicks her. "BLAZING END!" Pythra shouts as she throws her sword at MK connecting successfully. He retaliates with 'Back Air'. Cloud taps Terry's shoulder, "Hey Mr. Bogard." "Yes?" Terry looks at Cloud, "Does this fight reminds you of anything from your high school days?" "Well actually now that you say that, it was during the Senior Year and the last Tournament at that time I remember the most. It was the Finals between Chrom and Sephiroth. Chrom for the longest time took Second Place. Always Second Place. So when it came down to that fight he gave it his all. But ultimately he still lost. Poor guy possibly still bitter about that..." They continued their focus on the fight where Pythra lands a 'Forward Smash'. It launches him but he still survived the initial attack! MK retaliates with a combo of 'Back Air', 'Forward Tilt', a kick, and another 'Forward Tilt'. And due to their proximity to the barrier she lost her second stock! "Incredible." Terry comments. Pythra returns and lands a 'Dash Attack', taking MK's second stock. "They're neck to neck right now. Let's see how this goes." Terry comments the current situation. 'Mythra' regains control, "NOW THATS HOW WE ROLL!"
