Part 25

A few minutes later

Eris's POV

I arrived at the base with Leo and Storm a few minutes ahead of time and we walked carefully inside. I saw the bots doing their business 

'' Hey Eri '' said Miko seeing me first 

'' Hey '' I said seeing her with Rad and Jack playing a game. Leo and Storm stepped onto the couch next to them 

'' Hello Eris '' said Optimus 

'' Hey Optimus '' I replied and walked closer to him 

'' You have a talent for every language, right? '' he asked 

'' Yes, I can understand, speak and write without any problem. It may take me a few minutes, however, to understand the text accurately '' I replied 

'' You could take a look at this text. We know it's not ours and we have a problem '' he said and showed me pictures of the text 

'' It's Latin '' I said after a few minutes 

'' Don't worry about it, it's about the history of the Earth nothing important to the you '' I replied when I finished reading. 

They nodded their heads '' Do you think what MECH is about '' said Preda 

'' I suspect Arthur managed to push through the situation about MECH with the other Ministers '' I replied 

'' How do you know that? '' asked Fowler 

'' Because I asked him to do so '' I replied 

'' MECH is not just a danger to them. If they somehow achieve their goal, Silas will start World War III and we all know it. No one will be safe from him '' I said

 '' Do you think what is the plan? '' he asked 

'' I suspect a team will be formed to raid the MECH base and deal with him once and for all '' I replied 

'' I don't know if you guys will be drawn into this action because we will be using a lot of magic and we don't know how it will affect you. I have great control over my magic and can almost completely hide its presence. Not every wizard or witch knows how to do that '' I replied after a moment 

'' We too can hide our presence so that none of their scanners would track us '' I added seeing that Megatron wanted to deny it 

'' I suspect you will be on it '' said Ratchet

'' Not only  she will be on the raid but Erika will be leading it '' said a voice and Arthur appeared behind Fowler. 

I nodded in greeting '' What do you mean? '' said a concerned Optimus 

'' Erika is the strongest witch in the world and has experience in such things. She has the respect of everyone who knows her and has heard of her. We have concluded that if this raid is to succeed and for us to have the least possible losses on our side Erika will lead it. You have two weeks to think of a plan and choose 9 people to go with you '' he said seriously 

'' They will go there with me Anna Phonix, Bianca Azur, Luren Arin, Brian and Alex Ormin, Amun Nori, Lorenzo Mix, Dominic and Damian West '' I said 

'' These are people who are magically powerful, they don't beat themselves up fighting and getting dirty. They understand that it will be Kill or Be Killed. They are also the most professional '' I replied immediately 

'' I know you thought I would choose Neville, the twins and Luna to go with me but they are trained like the 9 she mentioned '' I said seeing their confused faces. Arthur nodded 

'' On the brighter side Happy Birthday '' he said and gave me a bag

'' There are gifts from me and others '' he replied giving me smile

 '' Arthurrrrrrrr '' I whine 

'' What is birthday? '' crowed Magnus 

'' It's a day when you celebrate the day you were born. The party has lots of guests, food, gifts '' said Miko 

'' No No No and again NO '' I said right away 

'' Erika is not fond of birthdays '' Arthur said 

'' When you are treated as a freak, trash and nothing important from the age of 2 to 11 years old does this to a person '' I replied 

'' Oooo '' they said together

'' Neville, Luna and the twins are making dinner for me in the garden and we're having a movie marathon. If you want you can join us '' I said

'' Why didn't you tell us that today is your birthday? '' asked Optimus and I could hear the sadness in his voice 

''We've only known each other a few weeks and I didn't want you to feel you had to give me anything because of that '' I replied seriously looking into his optics and he nodded his head in understanding

'' We will love to go to that dinner with you '' said Optimus and the rest of them nodded their heads in agreement. 

We spent a few more hours discussing the raid on the mech and decided that each of us would have a small drone with a camera so they could see what was going on. 

I knew Optimus was most concerned about my safety, I know this because every now and then he would look at me to see if I was still with him. 

Before we knew it it was time for me to go to my house, we spent the rest of the evening having fun.
