"Arthur! Listen to me and go to bed" I shouted. "Fuck off" he grumbled I sighed, looking to Ada, who held her hands up
"Don't look at me" she said "Go to bed. Or I'll take the opium out of your coat, out of your boot, I'll ransack your fucking car" I threatened.
He stumbled up the stairs, grumbling to himself about me "Thank you" she said sadly "He needs sense knocking into him" I said
"He needs his brother to pick him up" she said instead "And I'm guessing he isn't" I said "No. He's on a mission" she said boredly
"Still not drinking?" I asked
She shook her head "No, he says water gives him a clear mind" she said "Water will drown him" I said He was too wrapped up in Polly's grief and his own hatred for Michael.
