Chapter one

1980, a very cold year for the wizarding world of britain. The society was in the midst of war between a dark lord and everyone else. Voldemort, formally known as Tom Marvolo Riddle Jr, having recruited thousands of wizards and witches within his gang, which was dubbed Death eaters. Former school yard friends became enemies, everyone turned on each other, and the society as they knew it was split between the light side and the dark side. Anyone who had not wanted to pick sides had left the country or had gone into hiding. But this was not the same for the High standing family, The Malfoy Family. Back in 1976, Narcissa Black married Lucius Malfoy, after it was found out that she was carrying the Malfoy Heir at the simple age of 20 years old. The following year, Lucius had officially joined the death eaters, quickly moving his way through the ranks with how ruthless he was in battle and how quickly he got the job done and got it right.

Upon Draco's birth, it was believed that due to having complications with Draco's birthing, that Narcissa Malfoy would be barren and would be unable to have kids, but that was disproven four years later. On Draco's birthday, it was announced that Draco would be getting a baby sister in 7 months. Over course, Draco and everyone else was over the moon about this development since it had been believed that Narcissa could not have another child. Once it was released to the public that there was gonna be another Malfoy child coming into the war, people congratulated the couple and in the Daily Prophet, the child was called the miracle child due to the nature of her mother.
But all of that was soon splashed away and moved to the side when it was revealed that Lily Potter, Wife of James Potter was also pregnant with a baby girl. Considering that House Potter and House Malfoy were on similar social standings, newspapers all around wizarding Britain were filled with the news of an heir to the potter line being born and the news of a second Malfoy child coming into the world. Of course this made the hatred between James Charles Potter and Lucius Abraxas Malfoy worse than it had been before. But Lucius was never the one to throw the punch, but neither did James considering Sirius had always been there to stop him from doing so.
Months later, during the final trimester for both impending mothers, word got out that there was another group fighting against the death eaters named the Order of the phoenix. At this time, The death eaters still had more power than any others in the war. But soon the waves would turn in the war, in favor of the light side of course.
July 31st, 1980. Narcissa Malfoy was rushed to Saint Mungo's in the midst of labor; the woman was immediately taken to the delivery room to have her child. It was August 1st by the time the child was born. Upon the Babygirl's birth, loud cries could be heard in the room, announcing the baby's presence in the world. After the child was fed, and covered, she was handed to Narcissa Malfoy. The child had not been named yet as the parents could not come up with a name, but they had time.
Meanwhile, Lily Potter was in the midst of giving birth herself. her baby was born right at 11:30 pm, July 31st, 1980. The Potter couple had immediately given the child the Name Elizabeth. But other forces were in play now that both children had been born...but, the potter child had died in labor, of course, the potter's would never know this fact. Maybe if they had, they would have survived this war. But Manipulative forces decided to change this fate. An old man with white hair, switched the children at birth, spelling the nurses to believe the dead child was the Malfoy's Child and The alive one was the potter's.
When the healers came back with the dead child, explaining that sudden complications happened after taking the child away, which had caused Narcissa Malfoy so much grief that was diagnosed with post-pregnancy depression. Meanwhile, Lucius resented that the potter's child had lived while theirs had died. He had put himself into the death eaters more and more after that. It was the last time the Malfoy family tried for another child. Narcissa became a Shell of who she had been before, and Lucius became cold and distant from his family.
A year later, another tragedy struck. Halloween of 1981, voldemort had attacked the potters, in the end, killing james and lily potter. He attempted to kill Elizabeth Potter, but instead it ended up reversing on him. The wizarding world mourned, yet celebrated that day. They Mourned the Potter family, but they celebrated Elizabeth Potter, the Girl-who-lived, and the defeat of Lord Voldemort.
While everyone mourned and celebrated, a baby with fiery red hair sat on the doorstep of a muggle house, a white baby snake with red eyes having crawled on top of the child, curling up in the blanket, around the child's arm, hiding away as the night drifted on and the child slept...unknowingly moving into what would be worst ten years of her life...
