Calm waters and an arriving storm

"The Huli Jings? Come on, you know that shit is just a legend from books. Nothing proven otherwise."

"Psh, sure."

"Gods, get your senses back! Its just another story like mermaids and heavenly dragons. Tell me, has there been a single instance where you would've seen them?"

Ah.. heavenly dragons.. god, how he wished he got his dragon back.
Wei Wuxian shook his head, "People are studying. People claim that the Yiling Laozu fought against all the sect clans back then."

"And have those clans proven it?"

"Those sects are gone, Jiang Cheng."

"Yeah. Those people have been looking for these 'ancient' demon fox spirits for generations! The sects don't even have anything to prove it! They're just mythological creatures."

He knew the reason why the sects didn't prove anything about it. They all agreed on a certain matter to avoid speaking of it again, even prohibited people from writing about it, leaving it forgotten in history.
"Jiang Cheng.. is this really a conversation we're having right now? They really do exist!."

"Doubt we'll get to hear it."

"Hmph! You know nothing,"

"What do you know?"

Everything, in fact.
Wei Wuxian sighs, he's good with people, it's just impossible to convince someone without actually showing them. After all, he is the Huli Jing that people look for.

"End of discussion. You can get books if you want to know more about them, though I never found them here in Lotus Uni.." He paused, "Unless you want to go to Yiling and see a Huli Jing for yourself?"

"Like hell I will! That place abandoned and is full of resentful energy!"

"I'm kidding, I doubt you'll even walk a second. Want to go to Cloud Recess library to get some books about them and the history?"

"Go yourself, I'd rather not go visit a different University just for some stupid mythological books."

"Suit yourself. It's nearby anyways."

No, it isn't. It's a few miles further from where Lotus Uni is at. Jiang Wanyin thinks he's speaking all nonsense again.

When he arrived at the library, he suddenly stopped his motion.

Why did he still go there himself when he knew more than what the books say?

"Haa, dumbass." He degraded himself, even when he praises himself dumbfounded most of the time.

Oh well.
We're here anyways, might as well browse through the library.

He didn't like studying, even for the most important exam; but he was curious this time, weirdly curious whether the myths are accurate.

The library was huge. The largest library he's ever seen. It's not the richest college, the Golden Carp Uni was still in first place, but that did not lessen the value of Cloud Recces.

He brushed his feet on the mat and started walking to the librarian's reception desk. The librarian was a man, an extremely neat man. At first glance he knew that his clothes were far from the word 'cheap'. He was wearing clear glasses that were rested on the bridge of his nose, wearing a white turtleneck and a layered cardigan. His braided hair brushed on his shoulder as he was elegant and delicate in his motions.

Wei Wuxian's eyes were blasted by beauty, really handsome beauty. Yet he reminded him too much of someone he knew.

The man noticed Wei Wuxian looking, "Need something?"
