chapter 9

Flashback

When I was 14 I moved to London with my parents but before moving to the UK I met someone who changed my life forever.

I was a little sad that day because It was my last day in my home town my dad got promoted and
the company transferred him to the UK-based branch of their company and now we have to go there.
But I don't want to leave because I love my town so much.

It's a small town but very beautiful and the people here are more beautiful and so kind

I was at my home that day sitting on the terrace looking at my beautiful town for the last time the view was amazing

and I was thinking that after leaving this place I am going to miss a lot

I'm going to miss the people of this city the peace and the cold of here and my friends too and the streets where we all friends used to have fun together after school.

when my mom called me I was in deep thought but I decided to leave my thoughts behind and came down I saw
my mom was busy with her pickings.

Mom asked me to help her and asked me if I had done with my packing but
I told her that there was still some packing left I would do my packing after finishing here.

Mom said that early morning 5 am was the flight so we had to leave earlier.

After helping Mom...

I decided to complete my packing when I came into my room I saw my phone was ringing

I picked up the call it was Mohit he's my classmate Mohit wanted to invite me to her sister's birthday party which was today and all my friends were also there.

I thought for a moment and agreed to come to the party

then I went to my mom and told her about this party and asked her permission and thankfully she agreed
but she said first I needed to complete my packing.

I was so excited to meet my friends
So I completed my packing and went to get ready For the party

I chose a red dress which was my favorite dress too

I was getting ready but I got another call it was from my best friend Ruhi

She asked me if I was going to the party because she was also going there i told her that I was coming too.

Ruhi was very happy to know that she said she would wait for me.

At the party...

7 pm I reached the party where all my friends had already arrived then I went inside.
I saw all my friends were there and having fun
For a moment I stayed there and watched them.
But then someone tapped me on my shoulder

It's Ruhi she hugged me tightly and said that she was very happy to see me here then we both went inside together and met all our friends

Now it's time to cut the cake Mohit said
Mohit's sister Mona cut her Birthday cake and everyone wished her
I went to her to give her a birthday gift she looked so pretty and happy I wished her

"Mohit thanked me for coming
I nodded and smiled at him
He was looking at me and that made me uncomfortable "You're looking beautiful he said

"Thanks, I said, still looking at me but a
call interpret him so he went outside asking both of us to talk.

"Mona and I talked for a while
Everything was going great we all having fun

The music was on and all my friends went on stage to dance Mona also joined them

Ruhi came to me and asked me to dance I hesitated for a second but she was insistent So I agreed and went to the dance floor

When Mohit's friend Akash asked me about Mohit I told him that Mohit had gone outside for some work maybe

Then we all were getting busy enjoying our dance but I got a call it was from my mom

I came out to talk because there was a lot of noise

"Mom asked me when I would come home she was worried because now only two buses were left for my home
one which is at 9 pm and the other one at 10:30 pm and it is already 8:20 pm.

I told her that I would be back home soon don't worry about it.
It was already time so I decided to go home I went inside to say goodbye to all of my friends.

When I was about to go inside I saw Mohit talking to someone, I thought that I needed to say goodbye to him, so I started walking towards him.

Then I realized that something was not right between them.

I stayed there I was close enough and  I was able to hear their words.

"Sorry bro I forgot.... Mohit said."

The boy gave a gift box to Mohit and said that on his behalf Mona was in a hurry so he would not be able to go to the party.

I couldn't see his face because his back was facing me, but when he turned and started to walk towards me I saw his face and that moment I froze and everything just stopped for me and I was looking at him constantly and could not able to take my eyes off on his face, even if I wanted to.
