Rain's POV :

In that heart-wrenching moment when Y/n willingly gave herself up to the vampires, my world shattered into a thousand fragments. It felt like a cruel twist of fate, a nightmare from which I couldn't awaken. I watched in helpless despair as she, the love of my life, was taken from me.

Desperation clawed at my chest, my fists clenched in futile rage against the cruel injustice of it all. I wanted to scream, to fight, to tear through the ranks of our assailants and reclaim her. But deep down, I knew that her sacrifice was a selfless act born of love, not only for me but for the entire ghoul family.

Her choice to go with the vampires was a testament to her unwavering determination to protect us all. I could see it in her eyes, in the way she held herself with a fierce resolve. She had given everything for us, and I couldn't—wouldn't—let her sacrifice be in vain.

As she was taken further away from me, the weight of her parting words, "I love you, Rain," settled into my heart like a heavy stone. Those words were a lifeline, a promise that our love would endure, even in the face of the darkest of trials.

As Y/n was taken away by the vampires, her parting words echoing in my ears, a torrent of tears welled up in my eyes. They streamed down my cheeks, unchecked, as I watched her retreating form, my heart torn apart by the cruel separation.

Sodo, who had witnessed the entire ordeal, didn't hesitate for a moment. His footsteps echoed with urgency as he sprinted towards the church to fetch Papa and Sister Imperator. Every second counted, and we needed their guidance and strength in this dire situation.

When Papa and Sister Imperator arrived at the greenhouse, they found me kneeling on the ground, my shoulders trembling with grief. My eyes were red and swollen from crying, my fists clenched in a mixture of anger and helplessness. The sight of Y/n being taken away had left an indelible mark on my soul, a wound that bled with every beat of my heart.

Sodo relayed the events that had unfolded—the intrusion of the vampires, the brutal fight, and Y/n's selfless sacrifice. As he spoke, the gravity of the situation weighed heavily on our leaders. They exchanged a solemn glance, understanding the depth of Y/n's sacrifice and the perilous journey that lay ahead.

Sister Imperator's voice was laced with a steely determination as she addressed the remaining ghouls, "We must prepare. Y/n has made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us all. We cannot let her act go in vain. We will find her, and we will bring her back."

Papa's gaze bore the weight of responsibility as he added, "We need to gather information, make alliances, and be prepared for the challenges that await us. This is not a battle we can fight lightly, but fight it we must."

Back to Y/N's POV:

When I woke up, it was as though I had been ripped from one nightmare into another. My surroundings were unfamiliar, and the air hung heavy with a palpable malevolence. I was no longer in the comforting sanctuary of our church.

As my senses gradually returned, I realized that I was in a dimly lit, underground chamber. The walls were etched with ancient symbols, and eerie candlelight flickered, casting grotesque shadows that danced across the stone floor. My wrists and ankles were bound with heavy chains, anchoring me to a stone altar at the center of the room.

Panic clawed at my chest as I tried to move, but the restraints were unyielding. The realization that I had been taken by the vampires, torn away from Rain and the ghouls, washed over me like a chilling wave.

My first instinct was to call out for Rain, to scream his name in the hope that he might somehow hear me. But I quickly remembered that I had made this choice to protect him, to save his life, and I couldn't falter now.

Then, with an eerie silence, the vampire leader entered the chamber. His presence alone exuded an overwhelming aura of malevolence that made my heart race. I could barely summon the strength to meet his cold, crimson gaze.

"Human," he hissed, the word dripping with disdain. "You will serve a greater purpose than you can fathom. You are to be sacrificed to the god of vampires, and in return, we shall obtain the power of immortality."

His words struck me like a thunderbolt, and I felt a chilling sense of despair wash over me. The god of vampires—the very thought sent a shiver down my spine. I was to be offered as a living sacrifice, a pawn in their dark ritual.

The vampire leader continued, his voice a haunting whisper, "But first, we must ascertain whether you truly possess the essence of a ghoul within you. The ritual demands it..."

As the vampire leader mentioned the need to ascertain whether I possessed the essence of a ghoul within me for the ritual, my mind raced with fear and curiosity. How would they go about uncovering this hidden part of my identity? What would this ritual entail?

The answer came soon enough, as the vampire leader gestured for one of his followers to step forward. The vampire, with eyes as cold as death, held in his hand an ancient-looking artifact—a grotesque, twisted amulet adorned with eerie symbols and inscriptions.

"This amulet," the vampire leader explained, his voice laced with an unsettling excitement, "holds the power to reveal the true nature of those who carry the essence of ghouls within them. It will awaken your dormant powers, human, and expose the ghoul that lurks beneath."

My heart pounded in my chest as I watched the vampire approach, the amulet gleaming with an ominous aura. I knew that there was no escape from this ordeal; I had to endure it if I had any hope of surviving and reuniting with Rain and the ghouls.

The vampire placed the amulet gently against my forehead, and an immediate surge of cold energy coursed through my body. I gasped as my vision blurred, and the world around me twisted and contorted. It felt as though my very essence was being unraveled and examined, laid bare before the merciless scrutiny of the vampire's artifact.

Images and memories flashed before my eyes—moments from my life as a human, my time with Rain and the ghouls, and experiences I couldn't comprehend. The power of the amulet delved deep into my being, seeking the hidden truth of my existence.

And then, with a searing burst of pain and light, it was over. The amulet fell from my forehead, and I staggered backward, my mind reeling from the intense sensation. The vampire leader, a triumphant smile playing on his lips, proclaimed, "The essence of a ghoul resides within you. Our ritual can proceed."

I was left to grapple with the knowledge that the ritual had indeed unveiled the ghoul within me, exposing a part of myself I had only begun to understand. The path ahead was fraught with uncertainty, and the darkness of the vampire's intentions loomed ominously. But one thing remained clear—I had to endure this ordeal and survive, not only for my own sake but for Rain and the ghouls who awaited my return
