Sidra
I wonder what Zaid wrote for Aditya. You know what, I don't need Aditya's help to find out what actually happened to Zaid. I can do it myself. I folded the letter and put it in my pocket. “Ishan, can I ask a question?” I said. He stared blankly at me. “Where did Zaid die?” I asked. He was silent. He seemed to be considering his words or making up a lie. He sighed. “I'm sorry I can't tell you that.” he carefully answered. “Why not I asked?” I asked. “I can't, I just can't.” he answered. He wasn't going to tell me, but I'd find out soon enough. I tried asking Ishnaya but she wasn't told or so she says. Why was this being kept a secret? I deserve to know where my brother died. I was just going to ask where a fire happened recently. As I thought no one was allowed to tell me. What's the big secret? I was going to bribe someone to get the information. I came across a man, I was in the bad side of the city already. “Did a fire happen recently?” I asked. “Oh hello princess. Walking alone are you?” He asked. I rolled my eyes. I was twice his age. I gave a fake smile. “Answer my question.” I said. “What's in it for me?” he asked. I reached in my bag to take out gold coins in a small bag “I need more than that princess.” he suggested. I knew where this was going. “I haven't even opened this up, but what do you want?” I asked acting dumbfounded. “You're very pretty princess.” he answered. I felt the presence of other men. I smiled and turned around. I felt them. I turned around holding a sword to the man's neck. “How about I spare you as payment?” I suggested. “You're not going to kill me, you're a woman.” he mocked. I smiled pushing the sword through his chest. He fell to the floor.
“Anyone else want that?” I asked. The other men ran away (hopefully). I bent down to him. “Now, has a fire happened recently?” I asked. “No, there has been no fire.” he answered.
“So how did Prince Zaid die?” I asked. “I don't know how but he didn't die in a fire.” he answered. I nodded and gave him the coins. They'll be stolen anyway. I walked away wondering about that mans words. What if he was lying? I don't know who to trust anymore. I went back to the Palace, waiting for the truth. I didn't get it obviously. To be completely honest, I haven't accepted Zaid's death. That's the reason why I didn't cry because I don't believe but it's really quiet. The house is silent, almost dead. I didn't bother eating lunch. I went to Zaid's room. I knocked for a few seconds but realized. I opened the door.
