Wriggling and flailing, it unraveled itself from their bodies, and they were able to pull free.

"Lucky you pay attention in Herbology, Hermione," Harry remarked, acknowledging Hermione's knowledge of the subject.

As he continued down the pathway, wiping the sweat off his face, he suddenly noticed Jade standing there, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

Intrigued, Harry approached her near the wall and questioned, "How did you manage to get down here so quickly?"

Jade, however, ignored him and walked away, feeling she didn't owe him an explanation.

"Yeah," said Ron not hearing Harry's question to Jade, "and lucky Harry doesn't lose his head in a crisis... 'there's no wood,' honestly."

"This way," said Jade, pointing down a stone passageway, which was the only way forward.

All they could hear apart from their footsteps was the gentle drip of water trickling down the walls. The passageway sloped downward.

Ron whispered to Harry, "Can you hear something?" Harry tuned in, focusing his senses on the surroundings.

A faint sound of rustling and clinking reached his ears, seemingly emanating from up ahead.

"Do you think it's a ghost?" Ron asked.

"I don't know... sounds like wings to me," Harry whispered.

"There's light ahead... I can see something moving," Jade said as they reached the end of the passageway.

Upon reaching the end of the passageway, the trio found themselves in a brilliantly lit chamber. The chamber's ceiling arched high above them, creating an awe-inspiring sight. The room was filled with an array of small, jewel-bright birds, their vibrant colors creating a mesmerizing spectacle. The birds fluttered and tumbled around the chamber, their movements graceful and enchanting. On the opposite side of the chamber stood a heavy wooden door, its dark wood contrasting with the stone walls that surrounded it.

"Do you think they'll attack us if we cross the room?" said Ron.

"Probably," said Harry.

Jade remained silent, her gaze fixed on the creatures before her. As she observed them closely, it dawned on her that these creatures were not birds at all. They possessed a peculiar appearance, unlike any bird she had ever seen.

"They don't look very vicious, but I suppose if they all swooped down at once... well, there's no other choice... I'll run." Ron's heart raced as he took a deep breath, preparing himself for what was to come.

With his face covered by his arms, he mustered all his strength and sprinted across the room. Every muscle in his body was tense, expecting to feel sharp beaks and claws tearing at him any second. But to his surprise, nothing happened. He reached the door untouched, a mixture of relief and confusion washing over him.

'They're keys?' Jade thought to herself, looking confused.

Ron pulled the handle of the door with anticipation, eager to explore what lay beyond. To his disappointment, the door remained firmly locked, refusing to yield to his efforts. Not willing to give up so easily, Harry, Hermione, and Jade joined Ron, determined to find a way to open the door. Together, they tugged and heaved at the door, using all their strength to try and force it open. But no matter how hard they tried, the door wouldn't budge, as if it was guarding something valuable or secretive.

Frustration crept into their faces, mirroring their deep desire to uncover the mystery that lay behind the locked door. Hermione, known for her brilliance in magic, stepped forward and attempted to unlock the door using her Alohomora charm. With a flick of her wand and a whispered incantation, she hoped to release the door's enchantment. However, to everyone's surprise, the charm had no effect. The door remained steadfast, its secret hidden from prying eyes.
