Protectors: Injustice

Chapter 02: Freezer Burn

[In another area, Freezer Burn, Ice, Fire and Artemis were on the rooftop on one of the buildings in New York. But this New York is full of the Regime banners around the building.]

Freezer Burn: New York. Sort of.

Artemis: So... Alternate Earth?

Ice: Could be. We may have jumped to a different dimension again. Or, events in our own timeline have changed and we're in a new, altered present.

Fire: We need to determine which. Soon. If Richard's bomb detonated, we have to get back.

Artemis: The protectors  should have picked up any anomalies, right?

Ice: The protectors might not exist. I can't make contact.

Freezer Burn: We need to find out.

Fire: The Vault archives in the pacific. If this is an altered timeline, we might find a record of the triggering event there.

Artemis: Assuming the Vault exists.

Ice: It's worth investigating. Let's you and I check things out here.

Freezer Burn: Where is the nearest safe room/base

Ice and Fire guns: The Ferris Aircraft facility in LA.

Freezer Burn: Well at least that hasn't changed...Stay low. I'll be back quickly.

[A cutaway scene shows Freezer Bur  walking around the Ferris Aircraft office while using a nav computer on his  guns for directions.]

Freezer Burn: Where did you say the base was?

Ice and Fire guns: Kieth Ferris' office. Left at the next hallway, third door on the right.

Freezer  Burn: (stop mid-track) It's the sixth door...

[Suddenly, Freezer Burn hears some familiar voices from the hangar.]

R.Knight Owl: Pretty tough, are you?

I.Cyborg Comando: I'm not afraid of you... children...

R.Frost: Yes you are. I can feel it.

Freezer Burn: Knight Owl? Frost?

[As he looks inside the hangar, he sees Regime Knight Owl, in a black  cape and pure white skin and Regime Frost, blue skin and white suit, torturing Insurgent Cyborg Comando, who is unmasked and unarmed.]

R.Frost: This is your final chance to accept the Almighty's amnesty, Comando...

I.Comando: Get "re-educated" in your boot camp... become a puppet... like you?

R.Knight Owl: The boss is bein' generous. I wouldn't be. Most of the young hero's in the protectors field opp team died in the Armageddon five years ago.

I.Comando: I had nothing to do with that...

R.Knight Owl: Doesn't matter. You're still on the wrong side of the law.

I.Comando: ...tell this... to your boss...

[Insurgent Comando  spits on them as Regime Frost slowly freezes him using her powers though not enough to kill him. Freezer Burn had enough of this and decides to shoot a stream of fire from  one of his pistols.]

Freezer Burn: This is how things work here?

R.Knight Owl: So you're alive?

R.Frost: Something's not right... He's the commander. Yet he's...
