I've been babysitting Nick Daley since he was a baby. I was there when his parents divorced. I was there for every hockey game and every science fair. It sounds annoying and very stressful but the only thing stressful about the job is Larry.

Always doin' somethin'. Can't ever just sit down. I guess that's why he's my favorite. We get along more.

I have the greatest boyfriend ever. He's sweet athletic he's honestly the best. He gives me a place to crash when my moms being a bitch. He helps me study for school. He's friends with friends. Him and my best friend get along. What more could I ask for?

Like that one time at Nicky's hockey game. "Take it, Nicky! Break away!" I lean on my phone recording Nicky. "You can do it, Nicky!" He falls on the ice. "OH! I'm just gonna..." I drag the cut button on the video. "Edit that out." Then out of my peripheral vision, I see Larry's white ass jump over the barrier. "LARRY!"

He whispers something to Nicky and walks back. "Game on- Ow!" He gets hit in the face with a puck.

"MR DALEY!" I say looking down. "I'm good."

We walked through the park after I bought Nicky an ice cream. "I'm telling you, man. You tore it up out there today. I'm thinking the NHL is a serious possibility." "Yeah, I don't really wanna be a hockey player anymore," he states. "All right. What do you wanna be?" "a bond trader." I snicker but then cover it up with a cough.

"A bond trader?" "Yeah, it's what Don does. He took me to his office last week," he explains. "Uh-huh. That's cool." "So what you want to dress up in a monkey suit and tie every day?" he jokes. "Like an automaton robot," he speaks robotically.

"Hey look if you wanna do some boring job like whatever Don is go ahead," I say with a laugh. "Trust me you can't play hockey in a cubicle." "Well, he's got a pretty big office," he states. "That's not the point. Come on you love hockey." "I still like it but bond tradings my fallback," he states. "Smart." "Your fallback? Wait a minute wait a minute." we stop.

"You're too young to have a fallback, okay Nicky? And also where did you ever even hear that word?" "mom was talking to Don about all your different schemes." he states. "My mama do the same thing to my dad. I'm glad I graduate this year so I ain't gotta hear that shi- stuff nomo." I state.

"She called them schemes?" me and Nicky look at each other. "She said it was time you found a fallback," she states. "Are you really moving again?" "uh...I don't know. We'll see. I mean there's some pretty cool places out in Queens." I decided to remove myself from this sad equation. "Well, I'll catch you guys later. If I ain't home before the street lights turn on..." I pause. "Imma head out." I high-fived Nicky. "See ya"

 "See ya"
