After spending hours on set, we finally had a bit of a break. Jenna and I decided to spend some time together in her trailer, an oasis of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the set.
I closed my eyes, relaxed, feeling Jenna's gentle touch in my hair. My head rested on her lap, and her fingers intertwined, caressed, and played with my hair. Every movement of her fingers sent shivers of pleasure through my body. I decided to open one eye and saw her deeply engrossed in reading the script for the new series, Wednesday.
I protested with a little mumble when she stopped the relaxing movements of her fingers in my hair. She looked up from the script, biting her lower lip slightly, a gesture I had learned to recognize as a sign of nervousness. "Y/n/n..." she began, and my heart started to beat faster in anticipation of her words.
I slowly got up from Jenna's lap, curious to understand what was going on in her mind. Our gazes met, and I could see a hint of uncertainty in her eyes.
"I need help... and I can't ask Emma," my concern grew second by second.
Why couldn't she ask one of her best friends, but me?
"Tell me," I whispered softly.
"It's about someone... a guy..." her cheeks turned red, and my heart skipped a beat. Disappointment washed over me, and I could even feel my heart shattering into a thousand pieces.
I had been in love with Jenna for a while now, and hearing that she was into someone else was devastating.
"Go on," I said, trying not to let my voice sound broken.
"Well, I like this guy, but I don't know if he feels the same. Sometimes I think he does, but then the way he acts says otherwise," I nodded, clearing my throat slightly before speaking. "Do you mind if I ask who it is?"
"Percy..." Jenna's cheeks turned even redder.
I had suspected for a long time that there might be something between Jenna and Percy, but I had hidden those concerns because, deep down, I had hoped that Percy was just a colleague.
"So what exactly do you need help with?" I asked, feeling a heavy weight on my chest.
"Do you have any ideas on how I can find out if he likes me?" She began biting her lower lip. "I've read, but I haven't found anything," i laughed lightly after this last statement, confusing her.
"What?" She asked uncomfortably.
"Oh, nothing, it's just that it's usually you who looks for these things in a book," I said, and Jenna lowered her gaze, hiding her blushing cheeks. Jenna was adorable when she was embarrassed.
"I don't know... could you confess your feelings, hoping he reciprocates, or try to make him jealous? See how he reacts?"
