The Hurt Within

Defeated

"Adam!?" I cried

Once I saw him. I knew that he would do anything for me. He found me. All my pain was agonizing but I had to feel him. I ran up to him and gave him a hug. 

"I knew you would find me! I knew it!" I said "What happened, Adam? I remember someone shot me. It was horrible. I thought I was going to die" 

I stepped back. He wasn't hugging me back. He wasn't even surprised to see me either. He wasn't out of breath feeling relief because he found me 

"Adam, what's wrong? Where are the police? Where is anyone" I questioned him

"They're not here" He finally replied

"What do you mean they're not here?" I asked "What happened"

"I did this" Adam admitted

"You did what?" I asked

"I... " Adam couldn't get any words out

"I shot you" He finally said with a shaky voice

"Wh-what?" I asked "What are you talking about!" 

"I'm sorry. I failed you" Adam said

"You - You...you shot me?" I asked again not wanting to believe what he said

I couldn't feel my body. I felt dizzy. I couldn't even move. He shot me? How does that make sense? I noticed I wasn't even breathing. I looked down and noticed that blood was coming out of my bandages

"Skye! I have do to your stitches" Adam managed to say 

"Stay away from me!" I screamed

I yelled out all the energy I had within me before it all went black. I heard voices again, real voices

"What did you do?" A women said

"You told me to go in the fucking room" Adam replied

"I didn't ask you to make her bleed more!" A women said

"It's okay I cleaned it and re-stitched it" Adam said

"How's Daniel?" Adam asked

"Still unresponsive" a women said "She is waking up"

"Where the hell are you going" Adam said

"It will be too much for her seeing me as well" a women replied "You have to tell her what happened. She will forgive you in time"

"I don't think we ever will" Adam said

"I started to gain consciousness again. I opened my eyes and Adam was sitting on the bed next to me. My first reaction was to hug him and never let him go, but then I realized it wasn't a dream. He shot me. He is the person who tried to kill me. I had to try get out of here...fast. 

"Get the fuck off me" I yelled

"Skye, please" Adam said

"Let me go right now!" I yelled again

"Skye, I am not kidnapping you" Adam tried to explain 

"Great, then let me the fuck out" I said

"I can't do that" Adam replied

"Then that is called kidnapping!" I yelled "You think you've had the last laugh?"

"What?" Adam asked

"You tricked me into thinking you were everything, but once i find myself out of this hell hole you'll rot in jail for the rest of your life!" I said
