Chapter 1

ZARIA'S POV

Thankfully I didn't work for Shinra but my parents knew the President well.

They was asslickers to the President too.

How people believe a word that comes out of his mouth is something I will never understand.

My Parents did though in fact they was close with the man, I'd come across him many times in my life.

Sadly I saw him often.

His son too except Rufus and I openly had beef with one another.

I even joined Avalanche just to spite him but he doesn't know this.

Although a lot of interesting things came out of hanging out in the slums.

A new open minded out look on life.

Chill friends.

Hell even a relationship.

Although that wasn't going too well.

That aside though I was tired of these fancy events.

I only attended because my parents made me or sometimes even on behalf of them if they was too busy or away.

Right now I was at some weird Shinra company event.

I didn't even work for them but of course because of my families high status and loyalty to the company I got forced to be here.

Aged 25 and still didn't have a life of my own.

Avalanche had actually been very reluctant to accept me at first because of all this but then they decided I could be useful.

I think it's safe to say I was.

All these dull rich conversations right now was boring me.

I even had zoned out.

I snapped back to reality as I felt my clothes get wet and damp.

What the fuck.

"Do you always stand in the way?"
A voice asked.

My head looked to see who it was.

Rufus Shinra.

Of course.

"Do you always spill drinks on people?"
I retorted.

Luckily my dress wasn't white but it was still a light colour so the stain was evident.

"What are you doing here?"
Rufus questioned.

"Aren't you glad to see me? Kidding I know your the opposite and believe me I don't want to see you much either but-"
I rambled.

"Enough with your rambling"
Rufus stated.

"Enough with you drink spilling"
I scoffed.

I saw some people snicker at the stain on my dress as they walked past.

Rufus walked away and I stayed around 10 more minutes before leaving.
