3 days went by and Adrien had to remain in the hospital to recover since the Akuma really drained him a lot and he needed lots of protein for his body. Hospital food was nasty but Marinette always came to the hospital along with Emilie to give him special food to gain his strength up. He was happy his mother was back and the news announced Gabriel had been sent to prison for all his crimes with Cerise. Nadja on TV can't believe Gabi Grassette was Gabriel Agreste all along to avoid the law from finding him for years. It was mentioned he was given life in prison with no chance of parole.

Emilie even divorced him. Her parents were right about him and she shouldn't have given up on her wealth and everything for him. But that would mean she would never have a son if she hadn't met Gabriel. Instead of relying on Nathalie, Emilie should've reported her husband's obsession to the judge court that this relationship between her and Gabriel was not working out.

"Well, at least the problems all over. The brooches are all kept away by the guardian" Marinette said.

Adrien was so hungry he wanted Marinette's Chinese food. He hated the hospital food.

"Here you go, sweetie" Marinette hands it over.

"Merci" Adrien did not care if he ate like a pig, he was starving

"Oh my" Emilie chuckled, "But I suppose Paris looks forward to the return of Ladybug and Cat Noir becoming partners with him again"

"Qui, I still remember my childhood story you always read to me, Mom," Adrien said.

"Of Cat Noir, yes. So that makes sense of you being Cat Noir" Emilie said.

"Yeah, unlike someone who could not read me a bedtime story because of his 'busy' work," Adrien still remembers his mother being there for him while Gabriel paid less attention to taking care of the family.

"I hope he'll never return. He's done more than enough hurting you, Marinette, and everyone" Emilie said.

"And controlling my will" Adrien showed the ring containing his amok, "Every time he rubs it, I get this weird feeling of obeying him"

"Shouldn't have let him have it. You're more human than he was. I never deemed you a sentimonster, but a senti-human" Emilie said.

"Thanks. I rather be a free man than be someone's puppet or slave" Adrien said.

"But Colt only saw Felix as a monster," Emilie said.

"I figured. But he's dead. I never liked him at all, even if he did hide his abusive nature when it comes to family time" Adrien said while eating more.

A while later, Marinette was sitting near Adrien while they watched TV of Cerise being sent to an asylum due to her shouting madly that she knows Ladybug's identity but no one believed her due to her lying nature.

"Justice is served warmed," Marinette said.

Adrien's heart monitor beeped normal and he agreed with her too, "Heh, like the girl who cried fox"

"And you discovered she's your half-sister," Marinette said.

"She's no sister to me, only a monster like her father," Adrien said.

"I can't believe he had a child before and abandoned her. He was right that I am naive" Emilie said.

"I'm sorry about that, Emilie," Marinette said.

"Gabi was selfish but Gabriel had no parenting lessons. He doesn't deserve me or Mom. Nathalie may have supported him but she was there for me more than him. My bodyguard supported my happiness rather than just protecting me. The only thing Gabriel likes to do is mess around with people's vulnerability" Adrien said.

"Yes, though Ladybug ensures now the brooch won't be used for evil again," Ladybug said.

"Thank you for all your support but our young boy needs to be examined," The doctor said.

Marinette whimpered at the thought but Adrien assured her he'll be okay, "I'll be fine, my princess. As I said, I always carry my Marinette charm" Adrien had his Marinette charm with him all the time.

"Good luck my prince" Marinette kissed his cheek before leaving.

The doctors then began to run some tests on Adrien while his mother and Marinette waited.

Adrien did have a little injury in the heart by an akuma but it was a miracle that he survived. The heart could've caused something dangerous. Had it stayed longer he would have died of a heart attack. They put the oxygen mask to help him breathe fresh oxygen to help the blood flow carry oxygen to the heart.

"I hope he'll be fine," Marinette said, waiting outside.

"He is, sweetie. I've known how strong he is when he was a little kitten" Emilie said.

"Yeah. And he proved himself a great hero" Marinette said.

"But now everyone in Paris knows he's Cat Noir," Emilie said.

"Actually, he and I created a sentimonster to create sand dust to erase every single memory the people witnessed he was Cat Noir. Like Sandman" Marinette said, didn't want to mention it but it was the right moment to say it.

"Good. Because his identity would be at stake" Emilie said.

"Yes," Marinette nodded.

As soon as the doctors checked everything, they declared that he was healthy but he needed to stay away from certain dangers until his body and heart recovered. As well as eating proteins too. It's been confirmed that he lost a lot of weight due to Gabriel forcing him to eat on a strict diet.

"He's free to go, but he needs time to recover and get the right meals needed," The doctor said.

"Thank you, Doctor," Emilie said.

"Thank you" Adrien was relieved to get out of the hospital.

"Oh Kitty" Marinette held his hand.

"Meow" Adrien meowed, pretending to go to the vet.

"Silly kitty boy" Emilie chuckled at the two bonding.

As they came home, Adrien finally breathed in the air of the redecorated mansion that had too much about his father but now it's gotten rid of due to his legacy destroyed.

"A new life has finally begun," Adrien said.

"Finally! I hated hiding in your hair for too long!" Plagg came out.

"And I thought you said I'm one of your favorite kittens" Adrien rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, but I'm starving now for cheese," Plagg said.

"Always thinking with your annoying stomach again" Adrien goes into the kitchen to grab his cheese for him, "Just please don't eat all of them" Adrien strictly said.

"Okay," Plagg nodded and ate it.

"Heh, welcome home," Marinette said.

"Thank you, Marinette" Adrien held her hands.

With both Gabi and Cerise imprisoned, Cat Noir and Ladybug continued protecting Paris at all costs. The Agreste company was shut down and bought by another company after the truth was revealed. For the heroes, love is what keeps all hope alive.
