disney taught me that love was beautiful.
that boys will stare at you as if they had never laid eyes on a woman
before.
like they're looking at the most beautiful art ever created.

disney taught me that love could be found in the depths of the ocean, and 
far from earth.
in places the light cannot reach, and during the hardest times.

disney shaped my love, my romance into a beautiful book,
and taught me that if a guy loved me, he would take a step closer to the
sky to watch the stars' glimmer reflect my eyes.

disney taught me that love was magical, that my lover would go to
heaven and hell for me if i needed;
that i was the one who was perfect for them, just as they were perfect for
me.

just once would i wish to be a character of disney,
no longer in the background, but as a beautiful main character,
dancing and singing, laughing and wishing.

just wishing that for once...
i would be what they want...
i would be the one they crave...
i would be the one they need...

and i'd be the character they would have.
