The weeks following the Mayar Festival saw a palpable change in the atmosphere at Halide Academy. The vibrant energy of the festival had been replaced by a sense of anticipation, as whispers of the mysterious Student Council test continued to circulate among the students.
Iris and Keith had returned to their roles as diligent students, attending classes and participating in their respective clubs. Yet, beneath the facade of normalcy, an air of curiosity hung over them like a veil.
One evening, as they sat in the library, poring over their textbooks, Iris couldn't contain her curiosity any longer. She leaned over to Keith and whispered, "Keith, have you heard anything more about that mysterious Student Council test?"
Keith looked up from his book, his expression thoughtful. "I've tried to gather information discreetly, Miss Iris, but it seems the details are being kept under tight wraps. Even the other Student Council members don't seem to know much."
Iris frowned, frustrated by the lack of information. "It's just so strange. Why would they keep it such a secret? And when is this test supposed to happen?"
Keith shrugged. "All we know is that it's part of the process for selecting the Student Council for the next academic year. As for the timing, that remains a mystery."
Their conversation was interrupted when Blake Molan, another Student Council member, approached them. He wore a perplexed expression as he said, "Iris, Keith, I just overheard something strange. It seems the test might be happening sooner than we think."
Iris and Keith exchanged concerned glances. "How soon?" Iris asked.
Blake lowered his voice further. "Rumors say it could be within the next few days. No one knows the exact date, but the tension among the students is palpable."
Iris felt a knot of unease form in her stomach. The sudden urgency of the situation left her with many questions and very few answers. "We need to find out more," she said determinedly.
Keith nodded. "I agree, Miss Iris. We can't afford to be caught off guard."
With renewed determination, they embarked on a mission to gather information discreetly. They approached trusted classmates, tapped into their club connections, and even attempted to decipher cryptic messages on bulletin boards.
Days turned into nights as they tirelessly sought answers, but their efforts bore little fruit. It seemed that the mystery surrounding the test was impenetrable. Iris had always prided herself on her resourcefulness and ability to uncover secrets, but this one eluded her.
One evening, as they sat in the student lounge, poring over their notes and discussing their findings, Iris couldn't help but voice her frustration. "It's as if this test is shrouded in secrecy. No one seems to know anything substantial."
Keith, who had been equally diligent in their investigation, nodded in agreement. "It's almost as if the test is designed to be a complete surprise, catching everyone off guard."
Iris glanced at the clock on the wall. It was getting late, and the weight of their fruitless efforts was taking a toll on her. "I think we should call it a night, Keith. We've been at this for hours with no progress."
Keith agreed, and they gathered their belongings to leave the lounge. As they exited the building and made their way across the campus, a familiar voice called out to them.
"Iris, Keith, wait up!"
They turned to see Blake Molan hurrying toward them, a look of excitement on his face. "I've got news," he said breathlessly.
Iris and Keith exchanged a quick glance before turning their full attention to Blake. "What is it?" Iris asked.
Blake smiled triumphantly. "I managed to find a source who claims to have inside information about the test. They say it's going to happen tomorrow."
