avery's POV.

I laid like a starfish on my fluffy bed, a pillow on top of my stomach. I exhaled dramatically, missing Jameson. I picked up my phone from the nightstand, scrolling through social media mindlessly. When Jameson wasn't around, I was a hot mess. Suddenly, I quickly rose from my starfish position.

I clicked on my Messages app, going through all of my contacts. I first stopped at Libby, sending a quick "hello" to see if she would respond.

Nothing.

I continued to scroll through my contacts, stopping again at Max. I sent another fast "hi," but she didn't respond either. I bet she is hanging around Xander.

I began to feel lonely, unable to talk to anybody while I sat silently in my room. I continued to scroll through my contacts. Jameson's name caught my eye as I swiped down. I swiped back up, staring at Jameson's name. If I called him, he would think I'm needy. I grumbled, hesitating to call.

My finger held down on the call button, my phone ringing as I attempted to call Jameson. After 30 seconds, he responded, instantly talking, "I told you you couldn't last even one day without me by your side." I could hear his devastatingly handsome grin.

"What am I supposed to do in a house that is a million bagillion square feet when there's no one with me to enjoy it?" I retorted, practically yelling through my phone. "Shhhh, quiet down Heiress...." Jameson teased. I snorted, "you don't have to tell me to calm down."

"I have been getting plenty of obsessive stares from other girls, if you'd like to know." Jameson continued to smirk, "I don't think you like that." I growled, "Jameson, that's not funny. You know I don't like it when other girls look at you."

It was as if he didn't even hear my angry words. "A girl even came up to me to ask for my number. But, I have a beautiful girlfriend, so I declined politely." I gritted my teeth, "don't make me come to Canada to track you down."

"Don't worry Heiress, I'll be back in a jiffy." Jameson made kissing noises through the phone. I mumbled something, but it was inaudible to Jameson. He hung up, leaving me stranded alone by myself again.

I still longed for company. I laid back down, squeezing my pillow. I fell asleep, hoping the time would go by faster so I could see Jameson again.
