Gwen firmly replies "It's not like that." She takes a moment to think "Or maybe it is?" She shakes her head "Doesn't matter. Look, I'm what's known as an Anodite, or at least Quarter Anodite. What you call magic is powered by mana, or life energy"

Charmcaster: You don't know anything! You're not even a real sorceress, you're--

Gwen: A descendant of pure energy

Charmcaster stops in her tracks

Gwen: You think I reached my current level of power just by connecting to your magical artifacts? My grandmother comes from a race of beings who draw their power from life energy, who are pure energy, allowing them to do amazing things that most people could only dream of. They're basically gods. He looks up at the sky "What's that?"

Kaibara looks up as well, and coming down with a furious ground pound is Addwaitya, who does not seem to be in the mood for games

Addwaitya: Where's my Alpha Rune?

Awase: Oh, god

Kaibara: Teachers! He's back!

Addwaitya notices the Door To Anywhere "Of course"
